Hi, I have a question out of curiosity, but what criteria do you use to choose the seeds to plant?

The literal seeds? I love small seeds, for real. The most vigorous taproot I've ever seen (7 inches over 48 hours) was this pathetic looking bean from Cookies Seedbank. The firest cut I've ever had my hands on was from Compound Genetics and also a pathetic little bean. The wife likes plump seeds. I know old timers used to love seeds with tiger strips. A lot of real hippies go off just vibes. I follow a few small time breeders with pheno hunts with N = 10 or less and they swear vibes guide them on rounds. As far as choosing breeder, that requires a lot more leg work. Your breeder should have been around for a minute without any nonsense weighing them down. Swerve basically built the menus for Cali if you want to be honest, but you buy a bean from him and they're old AF or adulterated with something else in-house. A lot of these newer guys are simply buying whatever they can and spraying it down and claiming S1s, but they don't even have real sources for the parents just the same access anyone online has. Treat breeders like banks, at best. Trust them until you don't, and never look back.

Dark coloured, shiny, firm and "plump"........size is not a factor.

I'm looking for oldest and search for bank seeds so you get strait from main person. No middle man:)

everyone is diffrent. If you mean the seeds in a pack of any pitcular strain. I look at the most robust ones. Colour, Size, Shape and density all play a role. If you mean by what seeds you pick for the strain of the plant vs others, so may factors. Genitics, Brand, Breeding, Height, Smells, Terps, cannabiod %, Special traits, Just way to many to list. also Auto vs Photo vs fast. I would start with if you want an auto or photo, ignore fast flowering its a gimmick unless that fast version has a better terpene profile. Then ask yourself. Indoor or outdoor. then Indica Vs Stativa Vs Hybrid. Go from there and look at what pops up on your seed back of choice. and narrow it down. Lot to choose from. I like the very strong smelling ones. high terps, low THC.

HI bud. Great question! Growing (under circumstances) has been legal for nearly a year now and for me it was important to revisit some strains I hadn't smoked in a while. Amnesia Haze, Grandaddy Purple, Acapulco Gold and Jack Herrer to name a few. Of course during seed shopping something catches your eye hehe (talking about you Amnesia Zkittlez!) When one has been at it for 10 years or so, I suppose preferences can evolve too. Whether it be potency, looks, the specific high...

Depends on what you want to grow and smoke…. If you want some exotic premo your most likely going to have to sacrifice plant structure and bud quantity now if you just want to grow some plants with tons of plant matter and it doesn’t matter if it’s top shelf. A lot of old school strains grow a ton of bud all over the plant but a lot of newer exotics won’t have buds coving the whole plant a lot of exotics are harder to grow aswell normally old school strains have better germ rates and the plants just grow strong. Some old school strains that will grow buds all over and grow strong are Skunk White widow Northern lights Critical GDP It’s a lot harder to know what your getting with exotics until you grow the seeds but usually places that cost more will have better tested seeds I would stay away from small companies selling seeds normally small time seed people don’t test there seeds as much as you would like and no one like paying 75$ for 5 seeds and they don’t grow

do you mean like specific seeds in an already bought pack of seeds? i like to experiment and see if plants translate through seeds, as in like if the smallest seed produces the smallest plant and if the biggest seed produces a bigger plant. it sometimes works out that way but not always. now i just plant them all when i have a pack of seeds. but if youre talking about choosing which to buy, i would just go to somewhere like seedsman and explore and look at everything that seems interesting to you. i would recommend maybe indica or possibly autoflowers to start with but in my experience autos tend to lack some flavor and control and effects. maybe even choosing a clone from a reputable source is a better choice because youre more likely to get the flavor profile compared to

Expected flavor... can always smoke more if potency is a bit on low side, lol. Don't care how pretty it looks. Only care about the function.
