At some point they will get rootbound. At some point you'll have to learn how to trim roots. People keep 'mother' plants for years. If it is a matter of keeping a plant for later use, you can also take clones before it gets rootbound and regenerate the plant, toss out the soon-to-be rootbound one etc. I used to keep mother plants in 1-gallon pots. Every 4-6 months i'd clone them if not taking cuttings for a crop. It's a pita, but with limited space it was necessary. Inbetween regenerating them i'd prune them back to a few growth tips too. Just have to time that sort of stuff with intended use.

Certainly. If she gets pre-flowers she will be fine, there is no need to flip them to flower at that point.

18/6 forever! As long as something else doesn’t take them out. Clone and grow.

Yep, you can veg them as long as you want, just keep the light on 18/6 and they won’t flower. Only limit is your space and pot size.

Yes, you can… However, they will begin to show their sex, at that point I would flip to flowering.

Yes, you can technically keep them in Veg forever as long the light schedule is correct. People keep mother plants around and take clones off of the plant and grow and flower those but keep the mother plant vegging for
