What do you think guys, 50l outdoors is not necessary for autos? Supposedly the strains are high yield

20-25 litres is more than enough for any auto...........indoors or outdoors. 50 litres is just a waste.

Outdoors is a different animal. Figure the roots are as large as the canopy, i believe that is a common correlation? Autos get larger outdoors, so they'll also have a larger root system compared to indoors. Even if slightly wasteful, that's the side you want to err on anyway, eh? I'm assuming by "holes" you mean it is in the ground and not pots. In a pot you can just inspect the results and see how much wasted space there is... if no fibrous roots in an area, wasn't needed. But at least in ground if it's not used up i'd assume some of it remains in the future... rain will leach some out, maybe it's irrelevant to next year. my backyard doesn't get enough light or i'd be an outdoor grower, lol.

To a point yes, more fruits more roots, but being autoflower there is simply not enough time to grow a rootzone to fill a 50l, pushed auto to limit in a 7 gallon and it still didn't fill that pot, Parts of a pot that don't have roots are 100% reliant on evaporation to prevent water stagnating in the medium. Anywhere there are roots, water will be extracted from the soil along with any nutrient that sit in the water during the daylight. At night no moisture leaves those pots unless there are conditions for evaporation to occur. Anytime you fill a pot where there will be water you need to ensure that excess water is leaving by evaporation or transpiration. Transpiration is process of drawing water from rootzones up through and out the stomata. Not good or bad, but not grasping this concepts will often lead to root rot or a medium primed for bacterial/fungal problems, all it would take is a 3-4 day wet damp period and your screwed. Just keep on top of it. You will be fine. Gluck.

Check out my last Runtz run, there i used 50 L for Autos Indoor… I think the other ones where 20 L… Same VEG Time, nearly same flowering time, but 20g more yield per plant… But the Root system didn‘t developed through the whole container…

that's a lot. I would not use that much space. Maybe 26L/7Gal is the max I do on photos, so autos are just shy of that or about the same.

More roots more fruits. The 1st thing a weed plant does is anchor its tap root to the bottom of the container. So a weed plant should each the bottom of the pot and then it starts branching out if your not growing an auto that doesn’t have a huge veg time I would say a bigger pot would still help but it’s not going to fill the pot or anything. Witch it doesn’t have to Me personally I would say go for a big pot the only thing to keep in mind is soil is not cheep so it might be more effective to just use a 7 or 10gallon pot and maybe just grow Also keep this in mind seeing most people start there autos in the pot they plant to keep it in the whole time for an autoflowering cannabis plant, you'll want a pot that's big enough for the roots to stretch out, but not so big that the soil stays too wet. Usually, something in the 3 to 5 gallon range is perfect. That gives the roots plenty of room without holding onto too much water.

Hey growmie, 50L holes outdoors for autos? Totally fine, maybe even ideal for high-yield strains. Autos don’t always max out root space, but outdoors they’ll stretch more than in indoors in small pots , and that extra volume gives stability, water retention, and nutrient buffer. Worst case, they don’t use it all. Best case, you pull a monster.
