coco and color fade

sanibelislstarted grow question 21d ago
growing in coco and getting closer to to the finish line should i expect to not see the traditional changing of the leaf colors because she gets fed at every watering... when growing in soil the color change has always been an indicator that the end is near and to keep an eye on

Hey growmie, totally normal in coco. Since you're feeding every time, the plants stay greener way longer compared to soil. You can still get a fade if you start backing off the nutrients near the end, but if you keep feeding full strength, they'll usually stay pretty healthy looking right to harvest. Best thing is to watch the trichomes, not the leaves. Some plants in coco barely fade at all even when they’re 100% ready. Sounds like you're right on track — just keep an eye on the trichs and trust what they’re showing you. 🤞🍀❤️

Its only a case of reducing feed to the point same as soil to get her to use stored energy/nutes which is what the fade indicates....

If you get a fade in soil with how you grow, I'd expect similar in coco. Some strains don't like to fade, you can always force it though.
