The flip to flower is variable and starts around 10 hours of darkness, so they'd probably go into flower almost immediately when you put them outside.
Hours of darkness is what controls flower phase, not hours of light. You can trick it by applying light and shortening the dark cycle, if need be, or keep it inside until it is closer to the size you want. You'll still get at least 4 weeks of vege growth before it stops, even if it goes into flower immediately with outside schedule.
If worried about the average amount of light it receives outside, google a 'regional US DLI map' ... should find some by month, so you may need to look at a couple.
