Mal ganz Ehrlich.

For quality, dry trimming is superior.........moisture evaporating through the leaves is far better than going out through the flowers alone. Most people wet trim becuase it is easier and most people are lazy by nature. A small pair of side cutters (for wire) makes dry trimming easy and is much, much better than using scissors.

I have always wet trimmed, I like trying the finger hash from it. I think wet trimming is easier to clean up after trim, but honestly have never tried dry. I would think one would lose more trichomes doing it dry as they would be more brittle and prone to breaking the heads off…

I'd wager you lose fewer trichomes during a wet trim process, but the difference is likely small A little easier with dry leaves that fall off when you touch them, i guess? Use it as a tool to manipulate drying length. Even this isn't a significant effect. In fact, if the moisture doesn't easily 'backtrack' through the vascular tissue, it may not even be true, lol. At the very least the moisture from leaves increses condensation pressuer in the 'air' around the buds as it dries... that could also slow evaporation less directly than assumed. it probably makes very little difference, so do what you prefer and don't put too much effort into the debate

If you have time and space, by any book, dry trim is way superior vs wet. Slower is better, obvious rule in drying. It was hard for me to trim airy buds and i never liked bubble hash from dry trim, so saving time, efforts ( one trim jail is better than 2 ;) ) and not seeing huge difference between, i was going mostly for wet trim.

Best conditions are around 20C, 55% humidity and dark. If you can create or find a space with close to that or warmer or drier, then wait till the flower is dry before you trim. If you can't find or create a space like that and it is more humid and colder, then trim before.
