Pressed rosin for the first time. I would like to ask for advice how to increase yield and quality for my next press.

Wedding Cheesecake cured 4 months 62% humidity. Pressed with 85 degrees Celcius that is 185 Fahrenheit. 90 micron bag, bottle tech. 45 seconds warming up 3 minutes press, add more pressure every 10 seconds till rosin started to flow then kept it on this pressure. 15% yield.

I'm still learning myself. I mainly do flower rosin but do get some good results with my dry sift i manage to collect, i don't see much difference in the quality of the two smoke wise although it looks different. honestly i think my flower rosin has better flavor depending on strain. You didn't include what your yield was that would have helped, but it looks like you got good results that's what matter most. If you are pressing flower and are after more yield you should be pressing more in the 205Frange and using a slightly larger micron bag. im doing 120 with flower seems to work well.my Liberty haze didn't press good until 215-220F. And if i lost any terps it didn't matter because that was some of the most flavorful concentrates I've ever had. I just got a new rosin press and decided to use my old Neville's haze just to test it. Stevia's are harder to press and to get good yields and take higher temps. But i got a big 7x7x 30 ton dab press and electric hydraulic pump, and pressing 1 oz at a time. I had the Neville's that's like 16 months old i had curing in jars. after testing 1 oz and getting 15 percent yield which is really good for a sativa like that fresh let alone aged. i put it all together another 5oz in a strainer in a plastic container with a damp towel in the bottom, and overnight got it up to 75 percent humidity then loaded into bags and pressed bottletech. what worked good for me and this will change the amount of time depending on how much you are pressing at once. i did about 1 min in the plates just enough to hold the bags in then more pressure until its noticeable crushed but still no pressure on the dial another minute then by 3 minutes in pressurizing just until my gauge was holding pressure to around and then would start to see melt, then start ramping up pressure until i get to my target watching what the plates are doing. I'm glad i gave the Neville's another try. its hard to get discouraged when you have nice flowers on the line but in this cast i had not much to loos.it smoke way better as rosin.im stoked to have a head sash of it. i'm gonna update that diary but if you wanna check out the white widow, overdose ,ayahuasca purple, liberty or blueberry diary i have you can see

Exercise, since you already know how to press flowers Next step, could be pressing drysift or whole fresh frozen bubble hash

The molds can help. Even pressure across the whole surface will have best results. having a consistent 'brick' helps with that. if you know the tonnage and area of the squish, cap out at 2000-2500psi from what i call.

sounds like you got it down already, and the picture appears to be top shelf cured rosin with your description, my only advice to you would be learn your machine and be prepared to be thrown a curveball every once and a while...you can be dialed in for one cut, then grow something different and have her press completely diff
