it's good to control a small room's climate. humidifiers can be cheap, so it's not cost prohibitive. I would use an evaporative humidifier and not one that you can see the vapor emenating .. the latter are the ones that cause that white dusty film on everything. A humidifier with a wick is a bit more expensive to run, but worht it to avoid that film of dust developing on your buds... it's one thing on a table, but stick plant material can be wiped off. buy that bacteriostatic stuff... or you'll have to clean the water reservoir every 3-4 days and the wicks will grow shit before you get your money's worth out of them. I use hum for seedlings, early vege and drying areas. I buy a couple wicks every year, for a reference on cost... the bacteriostatic solution is key to their longevity.

When freshly harvested the plants are full of water. If your ambient rh is 40-50% . Then in a enclosed space the plant itself will make it a 60% pretty quickly. Just keep exhausting anything over 60% or whatever you desire. Dry until a bud you pull off snaps clean and leaves no strings attached, literally. Just make sure your temps stay consistent as te.ps are linked to rh. You can also use a humidifier, but then you often find yourself fighting between the humidifier and the exhaust. Whatever works best for your situation.
