Definitely a concern if you got UV - and the effect isn't even certain to be positive, whic is the kicker. And high intensity light is definitely bad for eyes, in general...
your age may also be a factor. If you are getting into mid 30s or later, you may just need reading glasses.
Wear a hat... don't look up. Or, get some of those protective eyeware for working on lazers. They don't look hot, but will protect your eyes. Something that blocks 95% of light is probably good. I try to make sure even my peripheral vision isn't including direct light from diodes.
After being around my warmerk 2900K lights, after i left grow area i could see a green-tinted world for a short period of time.. The brain was depressing red and blue wavelengths to adjust to the intensity, then as i walked away, red/blue was still toned down, so green was exagerrated, lol. it doesn't happen anymore, so it may be the result of some damage? kinda hard to self-diagnose such things without the education and equipment needed. go to an optmetrist...
any effects should be temporary, at least in short-term. Continual exposure over time could eventually cause 'something,' i'm sure. Like looking at your phone for prolonge dperiods will cause some blurry vission.. think it's the excess blue that is doing it?
