I find trichomes hard to judge, so would love some feedback.
mostly cloudy and plastic looking (as opposed to glassy). This isn't too early as long as you don't prefer a more ripened product. This comes down to personal preference.
have you stopped noticing any plumping / fattening of the calyxes lately? are the buds dense deep into canopy? have most or all of the pistils changed colors?
More than one observation is helpful to keep when you harvest consistent. Exactly when 'you' want to harvest requires a little trial and error... keep notes, test different levels of ripeness and bob's your uncle.
