Spider Farmer UV & IR Bars – When Do You Use Them?

ive been using the red ones vertically to help with the lower parts of the plant during flowering where it would be more shaded from my overhead light and it appears to be working well so far :D i put it on when im in the house and remember because I ran out of timers

IR will extend psII so keep it on all times so long as its not above 20-30% of total reds it won't activate shade avoidance. Uva Is one of those tricky ones as it builds resistance the more you give. It doesn't have the same energy as uvb, but you still need to be careful around dosage as it creates alot of oxygen radicals, very similarly to blue light as they share the same photoreceptor. Should be fine just keep an eye as 5k veg shifts to 2-3k, less blues, less repair. Make sure you don't frazzle off the trichs.

I have IR and UV switches on my kingbright 240w. I switch IR after stretch about week 5-6 and UV on the last 3 weeks usually start of adding Advanced Nutrients Overdrive
