(Not autos) I've topped before, but was wondering can you achieve the same yield just LSTing without topping, or is it best to do both? I know there's lots of info online but i feel more reassured listening to you guys lol, cheers

Well if you do a good job of LST, it can produce more, note "can". A lot depends on the plant/strain, topping just adds a growth tip and bushes out the plant until the tops recover. LST is going to bring bud sites into the light that topping just cannot duplicate, and keep plant size sort of managed. That said topping is done in a few minutes and thats it, LST will have to be touched up several times a week at certain stages. So... you da man

I have tryed both methods and it varies on species in my opinion.. Sum like 1 way sum handle both ways.. Topping will divert energy into other areas..cutting open a stem also increase risk of infection.. Lst is handy for tall plants that stretch into flower and u have limited head space.. Both techniques work well tho.. Plants are pretty tough and recover from most stress techniques if conditions are good.. Just experiment and u'll get the feel afer a few goes.. Gud luck n stay safe.. 👍
