I wish I could write about Cannabis like this every day! What a relaxing Saturday it’s been, filled with the love for cannabis and growing. There’s something truly special about witnessing the unique growth process of each plant, from seedling to harvest, and finding peace in the art of gardening. It’s not just about nurturing plants; it’s about connecting with nature, learning its rhythms, and marveling at the miracles it offers. And then there’s the joy of writing about these experiences—capturing the nuances, the challenges, the triumphs, and the lessons learned along the way. It’s a therapeutic journey in itself, weaving words to convey the passion and excitement that comes with cannabis cultivation. But as relaxing as today has been, it’s back to reality tomorrow as we prepare for the week ahead. Nonetheless, I carry with me the gratitude for these moments of tranquility and the anticipation of more green adventures to come ✌️❤️🌱

I got two seeds from NASC. One never germinated and this plant is the other. Coiled fingers and missing fingers.

🌱 The Brunch: After a successful pruning session that resulted in a fast improvement in color, The Brunch is looking healthier and showing signs of growth. It’s amazing how a little TLC can make such a difference! Very glad she’s not an Auto! 🌿 Northern Lights: This resilient plant is holding its own, despite being part of the experimental group. While the yield expectations are low, Northern Lights continues to surprise with its resilience. 🌿 The Sisters (Sideral): Sharing a pot solely for the experiment of encouraging twinning through Low-Stress Training (LST), the sisters are progressing well. The younger one is catching up in growth, showing promising signs of development. 🌿 Blue Dream: Unfortunately, Blue Dream is facing challenges in the experimental group. Despite a significant pruning of dead leaves, its stunted growth as an auto may result in no yield, if it even survives. 🌿 Macaroon: The wildcard in the bunch, Macaroon’s mutant traits add an element of curiosity. Who knows what surprises she’ll bring to the table? 🌼 Humboldt Blue: Anticipation is high for Humboldt Blue’s arrival. The prospect of adding this new addition to the garden adds to the excitement of choosing the top four plants for flowering.

Group 1 - Cultivating: • The Sisters (Sideral plants) • Macaroon • The Brunch • (Backup plan: If these four don’t make it, I will grow a few Humboldt Blue seeds and veg the best one.) Group 2 - No-go, Little Yield Expected: • Northern Lights • Blue Dream

Three of my seedlings, Blue Dream, Northern Lights, and the Brunch, struggled under the Philzon 600w grow light initially. After researching, I upgraded to the MARS TS1000 and Vivosun VS1000 grow lights. When I got the new lights, Blue Dream and the Brunch got zapped due to being too close with too high brightness, while Northern Lights loved it.

In my research, I found that many users experienced inconsistent light outputs from the same Philzon 600w model, highlighting manufacturing issues. The MARS TS1000 and Vivosun VS1000, known for efficiency and reliability, outperform the Philzon 600w. They offer a balanced light spectrum, better build quality, and wider coverage area. These factors make them popular choices despite occasional variations in light output.

I'm looking forward to this new grow with better equipment from the start. I believe the girls stand a much better chance of thriving under these improved conditions.
