Hello. Saw your question on seeds popping and nothing happening. The others didn't have a good answer and you had closed the question. The main problem is ... Pythium Root Rot Fungus ... As it saws, it attracts the young roots. Its in all the water, it's harmless to you, and chlorine doesn't kill it. Try this... in 2 cups of filtered water add a pinch of cinnamon and 4 drops of 30% hydrogen peroxide. Filtered watered because if the filter can take out stuff like lead and mercury it can take out some spores. Cinnamon is anti fungal and it also has cloning gel properties. You use it instead of cloning gel or powder if you need to. Hydrogen peroxide because it cleans the water and adds extra oxygen for the new roots. Don't add too, much, you could burn the roots. If they are old seeds I add some cloning gel to the water as well. Just a pinch. Takes a while to stir/mix in I soak them for 24 hours in that mixture and then put them on paper towels in a plastic container with a few small holes in the lid so the seeds can feel some water movement, in the form of evaporation. Older seeds will take a few days longer to get going, so as long as you can slow down the fungus, the better chance you have of sprouting some seeds. Hope that helps. Chuck.
