Gold Bar Kush
Growing it

Spliff’s Gold Bar Kush is a hefty strain reminiscent of the bronze age of Dutch Cannabis. Let’s not forget it was the Dutch that started taking the first steps into crossing nice pheno’s from the existing land strains in the years 80’s. Gold Bar has a strong citrus smell and taste, but certainly also a strong Skunkiness. The plants A and C show very dense buds that give a smooth silky vapor (yeah, I don’t smoke) with the strong citrus/skunky taste. Plant B suffered from my tweaking with the day length because of the ‘upperdecker-grow’, resulting in the loss of energy in making leaf instead of resin. That one’s on me! I’m happy with the end result of 157 gram, of which 60 grams main bud, another 34 grams small bud and last but not least 63 grams resinous material for making medicinal oil.

Smoothie Auto

Smoothie Auto from FastBuds is a really nice strain with a very fruity smell. Even plant D that I’d consider a bad pheno judging by the smell and resin production delivered a very decent amount of bud, and the smell in the end was not as bad as I thought. Plant E is the winner in terms of smell, looks and bud structure. Plant F is close, only because it’d grow so fast and long, the main bud got enough light only the secondary bud sites were all fluffy because of the lower position. On the other hand it did deliver more material for my medicinal oil, so I’m happy anyway. After drying the bud structure, smell and looks from the bud from plant E are the winner this round, also with the dry end weight, with a total of 29 grams from this plant. Plant F has a nice main cola that weighs in on 6 grams dry, with a total yield of 21 grams. Only all of the lower buds are very fluffy, but very tasty! With another 6 grams that I’d already vaped this week the total is 27 grams, just under plant E. Plant D’s aroma is not great, yield 21 grams, and oil it is going to be for that bud.

Larry Bird Kush

Zamnesia’s Larry Bird Kush promises a specially selected pheno that is actually the Gelato 33, that has a distinctive thin-mint/cookie smell and flavor and It should reach 20+ levels of THC with ease. I smell a lot strong, sweet and tantalizing smells, but if you ask me which plants have the thin-mint cookie smell then I would say plant D and G have the most intense smell off all plants. The strain shows nice dense bud clusters along stretchy branches, sparkling with juicy resin. This strain receives a fat 9 because it’s a very nice strain. Top 3 personal favorite. This feeling is further enhanced by the great results with Green Buzz Liquids nutrient program, which I’m sure helped making also the lower popcorn buds dripping with resin. My topping was off, but that only means I can harvest even more next time. The quality is top shelf, this is how I want it always. Vaping this weed makes for thick clouds of vape with maximum taste, and everything sticks together even when emptying the vape, that’s sticky!

Moon Walker Kush

Oh my Kushness! The Moon Walker Kush from Spliff's Seeds packs a punch. I've had a lot of fun growing this beautiful strain, though with some adjusting to make them fit on top. But these ladies take training well. Kush is typically not the most compact type of dope, that also goes for this strain. The calyxes grow in long foxtails, but stacked together form nice buds. Very resinous and odorous, with lots of orange hairs. The smell is skunky and lingering. the taste of MW1-pheno Skunky/Kushy with a little spicy edge and the MW2-pheno more on the lemon side. The vaping of this strain is very smooth, and the taste lasts in the mouth. This is also a typical evening strain, after inhaling the whole body quickly sinks into a relaxed state and a nice head feeling, and keeps you there while watching your favorite show. Is that my stomach wanting to tell me something? Yeah, this strain also brings up the old appetite!

Honey Cream (Royal Caramel)

Honey Cream from Royal Queen Seeds is an Indica dominant hybrid that's easy to grow, with a strong resistance against disease and heat. The Indica dominance shows in the medicinal value giving an heavy bodystone together with an time delaying headfeeling making you feel a little bit disconnected, what makes this strain very nice for getting relaxed at evenings watching tv and later get a good night sleep. Not a strain for becoming active. The flowers grow in long cola's build up of long popcornbuds. I'd had some concern about the smell, because it didn't became really strong. But after trimming the bud i must recur on that, i think the Moonwalkers just overruled the smell, but it is actually quitte strong. The Honey Cream has a round and smooth smell. And there are some pheno's who stand out with an more sour spicy smell, maybe a hint of orange within. The taste is indeed a little bit like honey, sweet with spicy hints, and most of all very smooth. This is no terpbom, but a nice balanced experience at the end of the day, smoothing the day into the night.

This is really a strain i want to grow more often. It's easy to grow, forgiving. The effect is on the fysical side but it does give a nice but short headbuzz. The taste is promising, there is at least one pheno that gives a strong grapefruit smell and taste. There is more bud that gives a kiwi taste, even more than the kiwi strain i tasted from a dispensary a while back. I have a 4 liter C-Vault that's filled for 3/4 now with the main buds. I'm going to wait untill the curing proces had his way. I think it's going to be even better once properly cured.

O.G. Kush

First note i have to make on these 4 Royal Queen Seeds O.G. Kush is that they were the oldest seeds laying in my fridge! Maybe that was part of the reason that they were somewhat slower than the rest, but personally i like to think of that as they take their time to develop properly. For instance didn’t these plants need any support up until almost the last week, meaning the stems where nice and sturdy supporting their own weight. The main buds where not that impressive in size, but i know this strain makes up in taste and effect. A real plus are the lower buds. Although they didn’t develop into these bulky buds against the main stem, they did form a large amount of nice buds. If i would choose to take a longer period of pre-growth and apply some advanced training, this strain must be able to deliver! Dry weight of this harvest was 38 grams + 5,34 grams already consumed = 43.34 grams total. Would i have 16 plants of this type it would be: 43,34 grams x 4 = 173,36 grams total, with an avarage of 0.39 grams/watt.
