imo... it was probably more of a genetic issue than the lights that hermied your friends plants... so many seed companies trying to get their product to market as soon as possible leads to crappy genetics... i recommend going with a breeder with an outstanding reputation for quality products... if your going to grow autoflowers there are two breeders that stand out above the rest and they are, Night Owl Seeds and Mephisto Seeds, all they do are autoflowers and they are the best in the business both being around for over ten years...the owner/breeder of Night Owl used to be the top breeder for Mephisto before starting up Night Owl...if you are interested in this you are in luck, Night Owl Seeds is going to have an online drop(sale)starting Friday April 18, 2025 at 10:00pm, Easter weekend... you can go to their website and sign-up in advance be advised that ordering seeds and merch from the website is only available during active drops(sales) which usually lasts from a couple of days to up to a couple of weeks depending on availability... Daz, the owner /breeder of Night Owl always offers some new creations along with blasts from the past... if you by chance don't get to purchase seeds during the drop there are over a dozen retailers that sell Night Owl Seeds and you can find them on the website...Pure Sativa i think does the best job representing Night Owl Seeds in the retail side of things... do yourself a favor and stop screwing around with unstable genetics and go with something that will truly be worth your time and effort.
happy gardening my friend...attached are a couple of pics from my current grow, both night owl's...
