Just basic Tomato Miracle Grow has the micro nutes cannabis wants. It works well in veg. In bloom you really need less N and more P so I recommend swapping to Scotts Super Bloom for flower, with a 1/2 dose of Miracle grow like once a week for the minimal amount of N needed.

Nutes seemed to improve her condition a great deal after we had Septoria strike with the wet weather. Nutes kept her ahead of the infection and she was able to produce enough good leaf to power her incredible bud production.

Primarily used as a cheap source for a high volume of N & K for veg. Also as a challenge because so many people say you can’t grow cannabis with Miracle Grow. You can! If you use the right product at the right time. In Veg you want N and K - on bloom you want P and K.

For veg, it supplies the micros needed along with decent N and K - more P than I needed in veg. I used Scotts Super Bloom to supplement P in flower.

Excellent experience by an old grower who took decades long break and now feels like a new grower because this is a whole new climate - still call myself a novice. Bruce grew so dense and every bit of branch was covered in bud. We had a stormy wet 16 weeks followed by 5 weeks of drought. The only losses the bud took were from insects gnawing on it and killing thumb sized bud sections in a few places.

Experimented with LST vs natural growth. LST plant grew 3-4x more roots (pictured), thicker stalk and produced about 4x as much as the plant left to natural growth. I also wanted to demonstrate that one could jump into growing without a bunch of specialty equipment or nutes. I grew a very long time ago and am still deciding how I want to invest in this. I used some inexpensive, blurple, listed as 600w LED grow lights (80 watts actual draw) that I picked up for 40-50% off at amazon. I used commonly available garden center center nutes, and an earth box that I already had filled with Jiffy Seed Starter, perlite, worm casings and bone meal. There wasn’t anything tricky about this grow. I watered the soil from the top more than I should have and ended up with a fungus gnat problem. I took care of the gnats with yellow fly tape and the addition peroxide over the root zone killed the larvae. The buds got so heavy that they started weighting down the branches. I was impressed with how heavy and dense they were when I was trimming them down. Most of this bud is going to be used in making medicinal infusions so I only trimmed off the green parts and all the stem. If it had much sugar on the small leaves, I left it. The 4 biggest buds were trimmed tighter and reserved for smoking. Dried at 55% humidity and 74°F. The buds will be going into cvaults with 62% Boveda packs for the cure. 1st sample smoke, 8 days after harvest was so unexpectedly SMOOOOTH, no negatives. Should be amazing after cure. Taste was creamy cheese. Seemed a little strong to the nose, but was such a smooth tasty smoke. Very laid back, not a head high, but a wonderful buzz and full body relaxation. This will make good medicine. The yield on the LST plant was impressive. She would have taken up as much space as I could have provided her. I’ll be using LST going forward for sure!! I’m on a tight budget, but will be researching better lighting and nutes to maximize my yields in the future.

These were the first online purchased beans I have tried. Back decades ago, I grew bagseed and traded some seeds. I had three grows in three spots going at once, just trying to figure out if in the soil outside, on the patio in a pot, or in a grow room was my best bet in this climate. This indoor grow was way easier than I expected. I’ll be growing indoors in the future. I had an issue with fungus gnats early on, but other than worrying over the girls, gnats were the worst of my issues. A skunk odor was apparent early on, but that gave way to a spicy citrus, then a slight spicy note, maybe pine with a little green here. For this grow, I ordered some cheapo blurple LED grow lights off amazon (had snagshout discount codes), and fabbed my own mylar enclosure using PVC, in a part of the house we aren’t using. It has it’s own 1/2 bath so I used the bath exhaust to remove some air, the AC, brought in new air. These aren’t trimmed super tight because most of it will be infused. The buds selected for smoke will be trimmed again before they go into the cvault. Nutes were basic garden center stuff. I didn’t hqve the $$ to invest in specialty nutes this round, and I wanted to demo that you don’t have to have a bunch of special/expensive stuff to jump in and get started. I’m glad I did!!! Wasn’t horrible with off the shelf garden center nutes. Yields weren’t off the charts, but you can bring in an ounce or two! Now I’m going to check out better indoor lighting options and get some fresh nutes and figure out what to have on hand so that I can stack up the really big buds for my next grow. Tried the first sample smoke, 8 days after harvest. Taste was classic herb, smell was classic herb. Jack Herrer is the perfect name for this strain. It’s already a smooth, tasty smoke and a great high. Can’t imagine how much better it’ll get after cure.

Produced less than would be expected given optimal conditions. What I gave it was much, much less than optimal conditions Patio grow, the plant itself was super easy grow even in a miserably wet spring and summer. The one plant that I pinched back to encourage branching produced extremely well. The other plant that I left to grow a natural christmas tree shape was a poor producer. There were only 8 bud clusters on that one. Overall, for a stealth patio grow, Gorilla Glue Auto is a winner in my book. I’ll definitely grow it again. The odor around my patio wasn’t way strong. Mother nature threw everything at it; Japanese beetles, insane humidity, heat, stormy WET weather, and very little sunlight the last 3 weeks, but the GG girls prevailed. Next time, I’m growing her in the tent though!! Not shabby for a first patio grow with 3 weeks of miserable wet and dark weather wrapping up the grow. Didn’t use any special cannabis products to optimize the grow. Went with basic off the shelf gardening supplies available most everywhere. This one is for all the newbies like me out there. Get a great disease resistant strain, and even under the worst of conditions, you may still come out with a couple of ounces :sunglasses: of good medicine. You never know until you try!!
