<span class="link_user">@DapperDabber</span>, All my old seeds that I germinated were successful so far. I simply keep them in the fridge (~5C) in an air tight container, in their original packaging. When I remove some seeds from a pack I reseal it with power tape.
As for the specific germination method, what worked for me well and I settled on is the root riot cubes, placed in a container with a semi transparent lid and watered a little with RO water, then closed (temp 25-27C). when the seedlings appear (normally 2-4 days), I place them with the cube into their final pot.
