You don't have to take anything off the bottom of the plant.I do it because Iv got 10 big plants so I don;t need little whisy buds and its a pain during harvest but things would be different if I had 4 small plants.I'd keep all of it if I were you.

Have you flipped the switch yet?You'llk want to top the next ones.Removing the top tip of the main brach makes 2 braches and gives the side braches a chance to carch up.Auxins which are growth hormones I believe go into the tips of the highest braches so removing the top of the main brach helps the other.You can do this by bending the brach down which is what I do a lot of.Squash and crack the stem between your fingers and bend so the tip is lower than the side shoots then the side shoots will get as tall.I learnt a lot from Soft Secrets over the years,its been out sinnce the 90s and is now online free.
