It's impossible not to love the colors on this strain. She gave me no issues whatsoever and grew like a bush! My advice to future growers of this strain would be to defoliate more than I did. Overall, another great strain from Mephisto and I would absolutely grow this again.

I expected nothing less from another top rated Mephisto strain but this one was out of the park. Super easy to grow and she grows FAST. Might have been a pheno thing but I've seen others' Double Grapes also growing as fast as mine did. The only problems I ran into were self inflicted. I accidentally snapped the main branch almost completely off around the 4th week but she recovered super quickly and successfully. I also made the rookie mistake of not flushing while using super salty liquid nutrients which caused a lockout for a week or 2 but that she also recovered from quickly after a proper flush. The frost level is insane on this plant even on the lower buds. The buds are dense and sticky as all hell and I'm proud to say these are the biggest ones I've grown to date. Super happy with the end result of this plant even while writing this without yet knowing the final yield and smoke test. Props always to the Mephisto team. '

6/12/20: Buds went in the tent to hang and dry. Will update with a smoke report after. 6/21/20: Stems were snapping so I trimmed the buds up today. Total dry period was 8 days, humidity stayed at 50-55% for the first 6 or so days, and then we had a heat wave which brought humidity levels up to 75% or so. Wasn't happy with that but what can ya do. Super happy with the quality of the buds. They are frosty as ever and my fingers were the most sticky they've ever been when handling bud while I was trimming. The top buds are really dense and even the bottom buds which didn't get as much light are still gonna be good to smoke. I put my trim bag in the freezer and I plan to grind it all up to collect the kief from it. I'm curing in mason jars with 58% RH Boveda humidity packs and the mini hygrometers in each jar. Can't emphasize how sticky the buds are! SMOKE REPORT: 6/12/20 - Just vaped some (because I'm impatient) in my G Pro and I'm nicely baked. I'm never really good at describing the high but I definitely feel chilled out and am looking forward to going to bed now. I feel a bit inspired to make a beat or something, I'm a music producer. The taste was on the sweet or smooth side but I want to wait to review taste until I actually smoke some. I will also come back to this diary after like 2 weeks of cure to see if I notice any different effects in terms of taste. It feels good to smoke your hard work! 7/2/20 - It's been almost 2 weeks (12 days) of cure and I just smoked a joint. Feeling very euphoric, happy, and goofy. I have no anxiety at the moment (which is rare for me) and feel relaxed. Definitely an indica dominant strain. The taste was exactly like it smells, which at this point is a lemony gasoline aroma. The smoke was averagely smooth and I actually did cough a few times. Could've been a drying flaw on my part, but I didn't mind that much. As far as 1-10 (1 being barely high, 10 being highest I've ever been) I'd put it at a solid 7 to high 6. I'm comfortable, noticeably laughing at more things, and I feel that almost loopy relaxed sensation throughout my body. 9/28/20: Ok so I ran out of Sour Crack about a month ago but I want to update the smoke report to about a month of cure on this strain. The nugs seemed to only ripen in smell the longer it cured. The highs were awesome. I shared some very great memories with some good friends all smoking on the Sour Crack. Sharing is caring for sure. I really loved the outcome of this plant. Nugs had noticeable trichome coverage, almost to a point where they had a white tint to them. I'm sad I ran out so fast but I was excited to share with friends and smoke it myself.
