My current drying setup is a smaller tent used only for drying harvests. Right now, I dry with the exhaust fan running continuously, while a humidifier is set to maintain around 60% RH. I also try to keep the temperature close to 16°C as much as possible. Even with this setup, I still have difficulty maintaining stable conditions and balanced airflow, which often causes the flowers to dry too quickly. My average drying time is around 7 days, and I know there is still a lot of room for improvement in this part of the process. Drying is always one of the most stressful stages of the entire grow when you don’t have the right setup. After months of work, this is the moment where the final quality can still be lost very quickly. I’m always trying to improve this part of the process because I know how important proper drying is for preserving terpenes, aroma, and overall flower quality. I believe DryRocket could help me keep the drying process fully under control and take the final flower quality to an even higher level. My next harvest should be ready around mid-June, and another one around mid-July.

Hello! I used to run a bigger tent, so during harvest I placed a smaller tent inside the main tent to use as a drying space. The problem was that the main tent was still full of flowering plants, which created a lot of heat and unstable humidity. Because of that, the buds dried way too fast… definitely not ideal  This time I only had one plant finishing, so I could finally dry properly using a drying net while hanging the rest of the plant whole. With these huge dense buds, I really wanted to avoid bud rot and get a slower, more controlled dry. Now the challenge is that I’m planning to grow multiple strains at the same time again, all finishing at different speeds, and my current setup just isn’t working well for that. I need a separate drying solution where I can properly control temperature and RH without affecting the flowering tent. That’s why I’ve been seriously looking at getting a Dry Rocket or something similar. A dedicated drying unit would let me keep stable conditions around 60/60, slow the drying process down, preserve terpenes better, and avoid the heat spikes and humidity swings I get from drying inside the grow room. Right now my setup feels too improvised for proper harvests, especially with multiple strains and large colas. Curious what other growers are doing in this situation! Latest finished grow, but started a couple new yesterday, will get there eventually and have same problem.

Would love to test a dryrocket, and see if it delivers! Good luck the rest of you guys!

First and foremost, a warm greeting to the grow community. At first, I always dried my buds in the grow tent using DryFerm Bags. It worked, but not particularly well. I always followed the manufacturer’s instructions, weighing the bags every day and only transferring the buds to jars with Boveda packs or Grove Bags once they hadn’t lost any weight for three days in a row. Unfortunately, the buds were always too dry afterward for proper curing. In my last grow cycle, I chose a different method. After harvesting, I simply hung the plants upside down in the tent and then used Home Assistant to build a PID controller for my Dyson Hot+Cool, which, with the help of AC Infinity sensors in the tent, kept the temperature exactly at my desired level. I had the AC Infinity Controller 69 Pro and an AC Infinity humidifier regulate the relative humidity, or VPD. I used the following strategy: Day 1: 22.2°C and a relative humidity of 55% (VPD 1.2 kPh). Day 2: 22.2°C and a relative humidity of 55% (VPD 1.2 kPh). During the first two days, surface moisture evaporates while moisture from the interior is drawn outward through adhesion. Day 3: 23.3°C and a relative humidity of 52% (VPD 1.39 kPh). Now the transpiration rate is increased slightly without overtaxing the adhesion. Day 4: 23.9°C and a relative humidity of 50% (VPD 1.5 kPh). Day 5: 23.9°C and a relative humidity of 50% (VPD 1.5 kPh). Over the last two days, we now reduce the residual moisture to about 10%, and the buds can be placed in jars or Grove Bags. A big thanks to the guys at Growmotion, who came up with this strategy. This approach works great, but I’m worried that during my next harvest, either the temperature or the relative humidity will be too high, and I won’t be able to cool the tent very effectively. I won’t know how much my monoblock air conditioner will help until I’ve tried it out. My next harvest is around May, 25th and my biggest problem so far has been either achieving the right residual moisture level for curing or simply not having enough control over the key parameters of temperature and humidity. The next harvest will be in 77 days, which is around July 28, 2026.
