Stonington Plant food did not do what I wanted. The N levels are too high and the P levels are too low. The plants had a nitrogen deficiency sometime in early/mid flower. The fish bone meal seemed to work well, but last grow I remixed the soil and the FBM amendment was literally all completely intact. The fish powder was gone, but the fish bones were still completely intact. This leads me to believe that the Nutrient ratio on the FBM bag is incorrect.

Great lights. Actually too strong for my current setup but these lights should perform flawlessly if I decide to introduce Co2 in the future. On the other hand, I think it is always better to have more power than less. Also the flowers on the plants are intense. Even the mid and lower flowers look pretty good. When I was using Mars Hydro, this was not the case.

Held up great this run. Giving it three stars because the first grow I used it in some of the stitching broke which made it no longer lightproof from the inside when fully sealed. I negate this by keeping the lights in the area off during flowering time.

Chopped today(1/5/23). Will be aiming for a 7 day dry but I do not know if that will be possible. Initial review; This plant was the single easiest plant I have ever grown, and the most resilient. I snapped one of the main branches off early on its life cycle, and reattached it. It grew huge. The plant itself was the most unique of all I have grown. The flowers have an abnormal structure, looking almost like small eggs in shape. The flowers are EXTREMELY dense. The only thing that throws me off about this plant is that it does not have a very strong smell. The smell is not very dank quite honestly. The plant smells very vegetable like. Very tomato-like. It also smells very cold lol. For instance, when you walk outside on a cold morning there is a certain smell. This plant has that smell along with the tomato smell and the slight classic weed smell. Not my favorite smell by any means, but the buds are by far my favorite looking buds I have grown. They are also decently frosty, not frost factories per say, but more than enough to get anyone decently stoned. Update(1/8/2023); Looks better than the Blue Cheeses. Still has a wet hay smell, but the plant has decently sized nuggets starting about halfway up the plant. Unfortunately, for this plant as well, a lot of the buds are very larfy. I take back what I originally said about these being the most dense buds to date. I had previously estimated a harvest of about 10 ounces from this plant. My new estimate is about 5 max.

Chopped today(1/5/23). Will be aiming for a 7 day dry but I do not know if that will be possible. Initial review; The plants were the easiest I have grown yet. They did run into issues a few times, but they recovered nicely and provided a nice harvest. The flowers look pretty good, though they do not seem to be very dense. They are frosty though, and the smell is very pleasant. Think Blueberry muffins mixed with a sweet stinky diesel. Will be providing updates as I progress. Shooting for a 60/60 environment for drying. Update(1/8/2023); The drying tent smells very wet today. Like the smell of a wet pile of hay after it has rained. Also, these plants are actually pretty LARFY. I do not know if I chopped a few weeks too early(I harvested a few days AFTER recommended breeders' time) or if I just did something wrong during the grow or it was bad genetics. Either way, half of the plant is going to be useless and LARFY, and the rest of the plant is going to have very smell and not very dense flowers after the dry. I was expecting to get a total of 2 lbs out of my 4x4 from 3 plants. That would be about 10.67 ounces per plant. Now, I am going to estimate half of that. I am going to say I might get 1 full pound from the 4x4.

Pretty good. I think if you run a few cycles with these nutrients as long as you add some calmag and lime to your soil that's all you need. Time will tell. EDIT: Like I said, time will tell. Today, I took the soil apart from the root ball to reamend and reuse it. Something I noticed is that the Fish bone meal is literally all completely intact. Once upon a time I witnessed a discussion between some older growers. One of them argued that using large rocks or any bones not in meal form for nutrients or minerals was useless because they take so long to break down that in terms of growing cannabis it is useless. The other grower argued that due to the biology in the soil they break down a lot faster. What I saw when I broke open the soil was pretty shocking. The Fish bone meal was not only still there, all of the pieces that weren't dust looked the exact same size. This is pretty bad. The first topdressing had like 6 weeks to break down, and the only thing that was broken down and used was the fish bone meal POWDER. For this reason, I DO NOT recommend this fish bone meal product. Get one that is much finer ground. I suspect this to be part of the reason my plants were lacking at the end. Also I know that lack of biology was not a problem because I constantly added beneficial microbes and one of the pots in the room had mycorrhizae on the surface of the soil. Another reason that this Fish Bone Meal is not a great option is because the ratio is terrible. It is supposed to be a flowering agent, but it has no Potassium, and a lot of Nitrogen. If it is going to have a 5 on N then it should have at least a 5 on K. I think even a 7 or 9 would be better on K right now. ALSO IMPORTANT: I would rate the fish bone meal 2/5, but the site will not let me change my rating now for whatever reason. AND I realize now that I put Lobster meal on the diary, but in reality I used the all purpose plant food.

I really like this bar style lighting system. Before I was using a mars hydro from like 2020 that was very ineffective and even though the power draw was the same the other light gave me really fluffy buds around the edges.

Good reliable tent. I beat the hell out of this thing constantly moving it around when its full of things and just today I shoved it through a door and it scraped a bit of the paint onto the tent but the tent is sturdy and dependable. The inside waterproof floor-mat is also a huge bonus.

12/09/22 This plant certainly was an interesting one to grow. I think a little history is necessary. About 6 months ago I bought a bunch of seeds from North Atlantic Seed Co. Well they were nice enough to ship some free seeds, and I received 4 or 5 OG Kush seeds. Only two of them ever popped, this being one of them. So looking at either a 40 or 50% germination rate. This plant came out entirely different from a seed in the same pack I grew about 6 months ago. Not going to lie at all this specific pain was a pain in the ass. It was hard stunted at the beginning of its life cycle and eventually it actually OVERTOOK the other two plants. This was really surprising, and I need to give this plant some credibility for its resilience. I also snapped this plant literally in half pretty early on in flower. Maybe week 2 if even. That brings me back to another point. The stems were very woody and fibrous, and had no bend. They would just snap if they bent over. Pros: Frosty buds, decent harvest weight, interesting but atypical OG Kush smell Cons: Woody branches that snap easily had to stake up every branch, very finicky to light, lots of foxtailing, had a really hard time getting started EDIT(12/14/2022); I just ran out of buds unexpectedly today and rather than going to the dispensary I decided to smoke this plant. A little backstory. On harvest day, the two smallest branches snapped off of the plant at the base. I hung them up above the rest of the plant, and today they were at a good RH to trim because they were so tiny. So it has only been 5 days and I did check the cannabis and it is in the dry zone now. As I mentioned in this diary before, this plant looks NOTHING like the other exact same seed I popped from the same breeder. However, the smell IS the exact same. The plant smells gassy yet sweet, and the buds look okay. These buds are average density IMO, but these were the smallest from the plant. Pictures titled "12/14/2022 5 day dry". EDIT(12/15/2022); So, not sure what's going on with this plant, or my meter. One or the other. Yesterday the plant rated at about 19% internal moisture. Today, with not much change in environment the moisture is now 8%... I am not sure if my meter is acting up, which it very well could be, but I will be trimming and bagging this plant tomorrow. I would do it today but I do not have time. EDIT(12/16/2022); Well, I trimmed this plant today. It was a decently easy trim. I started at about 9:30, and was finished by around 1:30-2:00. This would put me around 4-4.5 hours. UNFORTUNATELY, I suppose I needed to trim yesterday. Today after trimming and bagging the cannabis, the RH reads around 45-50%. Ideal RH for curing is around 58-62%, when you drop out of this range you don't cure efficiently, and when you go above this range mold is a risk. I rate my buds in 3 scales. The smallest buds, and the larfiest buds, are what I call the "smalls". These are what I smoke during cure if need be and these are also what I will use if I run out later on in the cycle. Medium sized buds, with a good bag appeal, are what I call "mids". The mids are what I mainly smoke. Mids usually have the largest quantity. The largest buds, which usually are just the very top part of the plant, are what I called Highs. These are saved for special occasions, or what I give to people as gifts. All said, I got; 23.6grams/ 0.84OZ of Smalls 52.1grams/ 1.86OZ of Mids 25.0grams/ 0.89OZ of Highs

12/09/22 So. The end of the growth. This will cover both of the purple punches. Fairly average growth in terms of difficulty; Purple punch pheno #1; Pretty average growth overall. I would have rated this plant to be easy to grow, but it seemed to encounter lockout briefly at day 30 of flower which caused several leaves to yellow. It could have also run out of Nitrogen due to insufficient top-dressing. Another issue with this plant is that the buds became too fat for the plant, causing the branches to need to be tied to dowels in order to not droop over at a 90 degree angle. Otherwise this plant was a joy to grow. The colors never really came out like in the pictures of how the plant was supposed to look, but that is not unusual. Fade also didn't go super hard but I believe this was due to my late top-dressing. I will not be tasting these buds for probably 6ish weeks or so but they smell amazing currently. Like the taste of captain crunch in some cold milk. The plants also looked pretty good, being well stacked with well-developed colas throughout the plant. Purple punch pheno #2; This plant was a joy to grow. Never had any issues I needed to address, held itself up even with soda can sized buds, and had those massive buds to begin with. The only negatives I can think of for this plant are that the plant was foxtailing the whole flower cycle. The plant is also noticeably less frosty than the other two, though I have heard rumors that on most plants the fatter the buds the less the potency. It is probably untrue, but it would make logical sense. Will be giving a smoke report of this plant in about 7 weeks after dry and cure. EDIT(12/15/2022); These two plants have been drying for 6 days now. According to my wood moisture meter, which is being very inconsistent, these buds are still around 20% moisture. Once they drop around to 10-12% I will be trimming them. The fatter the buds the longer the dry. These buds are not crazy fat right now but the 2nd pheno has some decent sized buds. EDIT(12/17/2022); Trimmed both phenos today. They were both overdried, just like the plant I trimmed yesterday. Everything should have been trimmed one day earlier. YIELD: Pheno#1(Smalls); 24.5grams/0.88OZ Pheno#1(Mids); 46.4grams/1.66OZ Pheno#1(Highs); 53.0grams/1.89OZ Pheno#1(Total); 123.9grams/4.425OZ Pheno#2(Smalls); 26.6grams/0.95OZ Pheno#2(Mids); 14.2grams/0.51OZ Pheno#2(Highs); 96.2grams/3.44OZ Pheno#2(Total); 137grams/4.89OZ Total between two plants; 260.9grams/9.31OZ NO TRIM OR LARF INCLUDED IN WEIGHING. SOME OF THE LARFIER BUDS WERE IN THE SMALLS BUT ALL OF THE REAL LARF WAS DISCARDED.
