After harvest she's been hanging out in an actively ventilated cardboard enclosure in my not-creepy-at-all basement for 3 weeks in about 25°C with a varying but relatively stable humidity between 45%-60% RH. Since a lot of her sugar leaves made it through quality control (yours truly) she definitely needed that extra time in there. What came out of the box the other day was nothing short of fantastic. While the chlorophyll still created some of its harsh, grass-ish smell, her underlying, sweet scents already pierced through and gave away what a some curing could do. And a lot it did do, already, after just two weeks. The fine aromas of the flower are already predominant and especially smaller buds are already deliciously persuasive during the daily airing routine. So what had to happen did happen and she found its way into me. Both through a vape (VapCap) and by more traditional meanings - as joints (Damiana). While the latter doesn't fully do her flavours justice, vaping her absolutely does. The heavier base, sweet and kind of earthy with an overlaying sweetness reminding me of raspberries and a almost tropical, mango-esque high-end. Other than that she hits me like a steam locomotive, both psychically and physically. On the physical side she's very relaxing and kind of heightening my tactile sensibility. On the mind-side she focuses me, locks me on a thought, and let's my mind wander down that path. Which, in combination with the physical relaxation, makes for great evenings with tasty food, good music, something to dream about or a guitar. Overall I can say that from seed to harvest to curing she's been great and I'm really happy with what has become of her - and looking forward to see what she'll become. Since a couple of days she's chilling in her glass jar alongside a 62% Boveda 8 humidity control.

My outdoor grow in the 15l Zamnesia fabric pot was doing well and in the 12 weeks from seed to harvest my plants did not need anything more or less than what was provided. However, last year's grow under similar conditions was more successful.

Growing was straight forward and unproblematic. No special care was needed and what became of her was nothing shy of amazing. The reason why she couldn't live up to her full potential was mismanagement by myself, by not providing a large enough container. Nonetheless she grew into a beautiful, tall plant. Harvest was easy peasy, as her flowers weren't too dense and did not contain too many sugar leaves. This made trimming easy and I was able to avoid messing with her trichomes during the process. As a matter of fact I didn't have many trimmings from this beauty which is why I did not make any canna butter. She dried for about 5 weeks in an actively ventilated cardboard box, right next to her usual neighbours, before she was ready to translocate into a glass jar. As there was not much leave material in and around the buds, curing did not take that long, so she was ready to be tasted in a matter of weeks. That fruity, citrus smell translated into her taste as well, especially when vaping her. She tasted really good, could've been a bit sweeter in my opinion. No matter whether I smoked or vaped her, the effects that kicked in were very much the same: a euphoric mind high with occasional munchies, but not too much effect on the body. I felt energized and creative while I was able to "cut off" the rest of the world.

Growing of this Girl Scout Cookie was a blast, from start to finish. I was very pleased with how little care she needed - even though I was offering - to grow into such a beautiful and fruitful lady. The large textile pot certainly had its positive effect on growth, as well as regular watering and special care in her last weeks. She didn't smell at all but gave off a mild, sweet scent of the flower. Harvest was alright, her buds were equally spread and all harvest-worthy. A lot of trimming was necessary as she had many tiny bud leaves, though many of them covered with trichomes, with about 60g of them ending up in canna butter. After roughly 5 weeks in an actively ventilated cardboard box she was right to be put into the jars and let curing begin. However first quality assessments have been made and it was found that the product is on the right path. Quite some curing was necessary, as - due to the many bud leaves - there was much chlorophyll that needed to be broken down before the harsh-bitter taste of it wasn't noticeable any more. And that was when the truly amazing smell and taste of this Girl Scout Cookie came into play. I was looking forward to open the grinder primarily to catch a whiff of that heavy, sweet scent paired with etheric oils and only secondarily to get the ground bud out. I both smoked and vaped her buds and baked the butter into chocolate brownies. Whatever the form, she easily knew how to induce both a body and mind high, coming in different forms and tastes. Vaping was a very tasty endeavour with a sweet, nutty, almost chocolaty flavour that was followed by a calming, yet not tiring, high. Easily the most pleasant vape I've ever had. Smoking was earthy/nutty and the high came in smoothly but assertively and with a pleasant body high. I could smoke/vape her in the afternoon or at night, knowing that she wouldn't relax me too much but wouldn't push me too much either. Dry mouth and eyes were omnipresent in her presence.

Think Big

I already had the pleasure of tasting a bud from a friend of mine who grew one himself. The taste, the high and the simplicity to grow this strain led me to grow a Think Big on my own. All I did was putting a seed into a soil-filled pot and let it grow outdoors. No nutrients, nothing, only water and sunlight. She grew into a marvellous lady, no bugs, nothing out of the ordinary. Next time I'll aim for a bigger plant, with a slightly bigger pot and nutrients. Now that she's out of drying (8 days ~25°C, 55%RH), on the verge of starting her curing process, she's already filling me with joy and my nose with her outstanding scents. She makes me think of a seaside summer evening, with a whiff of macchia (lavender, pine) and freshly cut fruit (orange, maracuja). It goes without saying that after smelling her I had to taste her too, which meant vaping her. And wow, have I not be disappointed. She's sweet on the tounge as she opens up in your mouth/nose and the journey continues with the same fruity, sweet aroma that peaks in a smooth flavour that rolls of with a hint of lime peel. A more earthy, nutty flavour joins in as temperatures get higher. For me she provides an energetic, happy high, that makes me want to frolic around, dance and listen to music or playing the guitar. I feel motivated and creative. Since she does not just fool around but delivers when it comes to effects, I prefer to smoke her in the afternoon, early evening, when daily business is done and it's time to relax and kick back.
