BTW I couldn't clip them this week and I always say when you think they're ready... wait another week, then wait another few days. Thats today, Im going to take down the waxy girl tonight and the little girl tomorrow and the big girl, I dunno yet

Here's a fyi for some. I have kept my outdoor plants dry since August. IE in the garage whenever it rains and at nights. So yesterday I let the plants catch a few drops of rain before i got them in the garage. I run a tiny heater and a fan in the garage mostly to reduce humidity, and it does by about 15%, and raises temps about 3 celsius. The next morning you could see powdery mildew on just about every spot where a rain drop landed. I had to clip about 10 leaves per plant everywhere it started. But I looked closely at the leaves and there is a little dust buildup and they look quite dry. I got a handle on my rot issues mostly with the fan. I should have had it out earlier but I don't think it would have made a difference. Now that nights are cold the rot can't really get going but the mildew wants to go like gangbuster and only needs a little water to get started immediately so keep that in mind if you r in a climate like mine. It doesnt look like you took that much off it. There is still lots of plant there. Did you take the whole tops or just parts of them?

,Open it and see if it feels moist again. It will rehydrate from the moisture in the stalk and inner most parts of the buds. it comes back out. If it does feel moist again then leave it open for half a day then close it again. Then later check if its moistens up again. If its just a tiny bit moist like you can just break the stock with a snap then jar it for good until smoked. But thats how I like it a lot like it way more moist. I dont like the "green" smell in my jars because I know it will only cause it to decay in potency if you store it like that.

, Well that's good sometimes you have to do what you have to do. I know it was hard to do but you made the right choice then. Yes what ever is left will mature much faster now. Compare it to what your drying now. BTW if its dry put it in jars dont let it go to a crisp.

,Oh no you chopped all the tops off? I can't see any signs of mold mildew or rot. WHat does it look like now. Did they all have rot? I was just going to tell you to let the branches flop down on the sides to let more light and air inside but I guess they'll get plenty now! I couldn't chop mine. I was planning on doing it last night but I couldn't. I don't have any rot but the powdery mildew is starting on some of the fan leaves, on the chopped plants, and I pluck every sign of it. There's none on my buds but if i see one bud leaf with it I chop that whole bud before it ruins it. I think you went a little drastic if you chopped all your tops but you will get some smoke. It will;be a real frontal active buzz, not the couch potato buzz. Leave whatever is left it will mature faster now, that is, if you left something to work with. Do you know how to cure it?

,Thanks man, unfortunately, I lost 2 nice ones a few weeks ago. This one has loads of resin so she is more resistant to the problems the other 2 had. I'm pretty sure she'll go full term without any issues. Just hoping Jack Frost stays on vacation a little longer

, Yea man you'll see a lot of changes in the next 2 weeks. They need light. I think that's your biggest factor that would be limiting if anything. Can you put them on your house roof or would everyone see it?

,Not yet but the courts have been told to drop most cases so the cops only use it to hassle you and take your shit and cash. They popped a dispensary the other day and raided their homes too and took about 200 kilos and $300g's. They're real fuckers. They all fucking smoke too. I bet they found more like 500 kg's and $600g's but it didn't make it back to the station.

I just read your update. man what a difference between the countries. I have 2 kids and loads of relatives with kids that come over all the time, plenty of nosey neighbours, workers all over but nobody really gives a shit. They're in plain site even stick out when I put them on the roof. Even though its not legal until next summer its been like this for as long as I can remember. What would they do if they saw your plants? Steal them, call the cops, or just look down on you?

Man still waiting for the resin to ripen up. I had a little powdery mildew show up on the very lowest bud on the first chopped plant. It was only on a few leaves so I always just pluck the blades wherever I see it. FYI for anyone who doesn't see it a lot it starts out as a white or bluish circle like when you culture in medium in a petri dish. Just cut the whole blade off or it will just grow and grow. Looks like the temperatures might hold for another week. The lowest night is going to be 5, but lots of rain starting Tuesday night so I will have to watch close now. If this shit would just get to half amber I will chop. I really want to get some powerful smoke out of this. I've sampled my first chop and its good. The bag appeal isnt great because she was the mini calyx plant and I left a fair bit of green during the trim but cut that out before you smoke and its a real creeper weed. Sneaks up on you about 10 minutes after and lays you out for a good long time and its smooth. The next chop will be ready in a day or two. It will be really cool to see the difference the extra 2 weeks does to the smoke of these 2 plants.

,Yea I think that's part of the story. They also need temp differential between night and day the more the better to a point, about 12-15f. My days haven't been above 70 for about 2 weeks with major swings. I I think they have lost their purple genetics in one generation.

You should be good on the rot and mold. Your buds are growing apart and you have plenty of air flow through the actual buds.. Check out the rot I got. My colas were way more dense and I'm outdoors. We had high heat and humidity for months. The rain for days ie 100% humidity I lost 2 terminal buds but my 3rd plant is more airy like yours and I got that shit under control. No more rot, but my humidity dropped to 60% and high pressure system has been around keeping it fairly dry and cool and breezy. Blast them with a fan mold and rot hate dry, wind and light so give them plenty let them grow sideways to then the buds will go up away from the stalk instead of into each other.

, Yes purple is good. If its in their genes it means they are reacting to the changes in weather and other signals of time running out to reproduce. Just like the trees in the fall except they have done reproducing long ago and they have shut off the supply of things like amino acids, sugars and carbohydrates to their extremities. While our plants do the same, they don't shut off the supply to the buds because they are still drastically trying to get pollen and make seeds. The hairs would normally grab the pollen and the seed would start. The resin helps attract insects and pollen clings to it so they keep producing it.
