I&#039;d like to give a thumbs up to the individual who launched and administered this contest, for one reason in particular — allowing entrants to upload an image directly rather than having them select one from a diary. Of course, it makes sense for the monthly photo contests to have entrants select images from their diaries, but for other kinds of contests, a direct upload is preferable. The meme contests, for example, are better suited to the direct-upload approach in my opinion.
