@medicalguy09, too much of anything can stress them out. Your best bet is to let the soil do everything for you. Im pushing these babies as far as they will let me. Im changing my grows every series. Next series Im going to focus strictly on the microbes and fungal percentage. Im going to just feed them and let them do all my heavy lifting. The key to growing is what works best for you. if you like salts, IE bottle nutes or anything that is not from organic sources... they love and are easy to burn your plants. The thing is that I dont want to ruin any grow so doing the easiest thing is letting the soil feed my plant and I will keep feeding the soil from now on. I have learned that microbes make everything a plant needs. if you have the right microbes and fungal dominance then your plants will have everything it needs. too much water can be an issue when trying to grow fungal dominance in a soil. keeping a mulch layer of wood shavings and chips with a few layers of soil and organic matter at the top 4 inches of the pot. Potato bugs and worms plus beneficial nematodes will help breakdown the organic matter. Organic matter such as Alfalfa meal, spent coffee grounds, dried banana peel powder, avocado, dried grass powder, dried leaf powder, and oyster shell crushed, gypsum, vermiculite, chopped up cannabis leaf, organic grass or grain seed sprouts, soaked plain organic oatmeal, blue corn sprouts blended into a slurry... randomly add these to the soil for foods but there is always one constant, Kelp meal! *****Kelp has amazing properties that boost everything. hit that kelp up and get some dry amendments always making sure your calcium is high. *****Alfalfa grain sprouts have loads of plant growth regulating hormones in it. when you let the alfalfa sit in water and sprout roots, it naturally has loads of goodies! ***************Caution! if your soil doesnt have everything the plant needs when you add the Alfalfa grain sprouts.... it will start to show calcium deficiency. so load up on calcium which is a nutrient that is used to build cell structure and carry other nutrients to the plant where its needed.
