sanibelisl Anticipating 100 % success germination rate.
Still very cool nights in the mountains (40’s)so may bring seedlings inside for the first few nights, we will see.
going to do something a little different this time around as my local WTG was out of my usual Happy Frog medium ... the sales rep asked what my plans were and i explained a greenhouse grow was planned ... so the rep suggested using the Roots Organic Formula 707 custom blend amended with a Build-a-Soil craft blend 3-5-2 and go for a water only approach ... i live above 8700 feet and the air holds little moisture so the 707 blend is formulated for extra water retention, should equate to less frequent waterings ... this all sounded good to me (KISS principle) as the last grow was hand watered coco coir, which was a mix nutrients and water twice a day adventure ... so with mother nature in charge, at least the light and warmth anyway, we are off on another happy gardening adventure.
***Update***
Tuesday 6/17 Noon
Successful germination!
Both the Harvey Wallbanger and Vanilla Fizz had half inch tap roots and the 91Grapes was cracking her shell. They are in 2 liter temporary containers so they can be more easily moved around while they are small (still have 40’s @ night).
Currently utilizing the tent@ a toasty 84 degrees. I may keep them in there at night next two or three days until my night temperature gets above fifty degrees F. Light is set @ forty inches above the top of the pots giving a PPFD of 260 and DLI of 18 @ 20 hours on. This should allow for some early stretch

sanibelisl Vanilla Fizz and the Harvey Wallbanger have sprouted, waiting on the 91Grapes June 18
***Update***
The 91 Grapes was tardy but has joined the party with the rest of the summer camp girls.
*The formula 707 is holding moisture nicely and will take some practice to get it down pat. But the objective is less frequent waterings with this grow so a big thumbs up there.
***Update***
Seedlings doing well today nothing to do with them. Got the ten gallon pots ready with the 707 and a little sticker application to brighten things up.
*** Update***
Summer camp is going well. This week we explored getting our feet wet and the first experience with water went well. Nobody drowned! Turned on a fan in the tent and the girls like the breeze and should help them get stronger as they sway in the breeze.
Weather here is going to be too cool at night to put them in the greenhouse (forecast low is 41) so will continue to utilize the tent while they are still in containers that can be easily moved.

sanibelisl First week of summer camp went well. The girls went wading and sunbathing and all is well. The 707 really holds moisture and will take some restraint from me not to over water them. Moved them outside to the greenhouse and hope that the cooler nights won’t set them back too much. I need to find a fan for the greenhouse soon.

sanibelisl Happy Fourth of July 🇺🇸 everyone!
Entering week three. Summer camp orientation is complete and the girls have had some swimming lessons enjoyed some sunbathing took a hike from the tent to the greenhouse and seemed to have survived the hike without a blister.
Amended the Formula 707 substrate with biuld-a-soil craft blend 3-5-2 and Fox Farms fruit and flowers at a rate of 1 tbsp each to 1 gallon of soil. This should allow for a water only regime until after stretch when

sanibelisl Girls had a great week at summer camp! Smiles are found everywhere regarding their new homes. Plenty of room to grow and wiggle their toes in the amended formula 707, which is doing what was expected retaining moisture nicely, bringing the watering to a minimum.
All three girls received merit badges for hiking(survived transplanting), water sports(2 liters), light tolerance(supplemental lighting), physical fitness(color and strength)and kite flying(added a fan). They are all looking forward to this weeks activities.
Girls seem to like what they’re getting at the chow hall, green and growing daily, strong and upright. Plenty of good stuff in the soil.
A fan was added and the benefits are three fold, dry out the top layer of soil, pest control, makes them stronger.
I will update as needed.
***update, the girls are looking good this morning, well rested, well nourished, vibrant. Their roots must be really liking the 707 as evident by the rapid growth. Measured them this morning with the H. W. At8 in. the V. F. at 8.5 and the 91 Grapes at 10 in. And at least an inch wider as well. No water will be needed today.
Note. The greenhouse may be better suited for growing mushrooms than cannabis. Pine trees and shade. No direct sunlight until after 2pm. Dappled sun all morning long, so installed a T-5 4 foot ArgroLed 6550(k) daylight led fixture above the girls. That was a bright idea!
***update, New Video includes new homemade lighting.
*** update, new videos.
Before 7/14 After 7/15 videos of the girls being sprayed with a folier dose of silica. I had forgot to add the silica on Sunday when I had watered them and they needed it! I would not be able to water them again until at least Friday so delivered it via a foliage spray. Worked wonders , will apply again in a week. Let me know what you think.
***update, OMG going to ignore a few people here who seem to interested in my financial status, whom i care to promote and what i do, so let's put this to rest... i'm a hobbyist cannabis grower who enjoys cultivating autoflowers... i'm not paid nor sponsored by anyone , i simply like and trust the genetics from Night Owl Seeds and in my opinion so should anyone else who desires quality autoflower genetics, please feel free to use the breeder of your choice as i don't want any issues because i prefer one over another(happy mOuse).
***update, Three Girls!!! pics will follow. ** ok pics are here. I labeled most of them so should be self explanatory. Can’t seem to get any sunny afternoons. It’s a little disappointing as it is the only time the greenhouse gets direct sunlight. Watered last Sunday, today is Wednesday and they are good no water needed, 707 on the job! Such a difference from the coco grow where I was I nutrient mixing slave.lol

sanibelisl Girls have settled into summer camp nicely. Worries about not taking the transplant diminish more each day and I am gaining more confidence in strong roots with each passing day as well. I had to build a supplemental lighting system for the greenhouse. Here at home we are experiencing a wetter than usual summer so far and with that brings clouds. So I needed to do something. So I built a new greenhouse light. It cranks out some light. Currently at canopy I’m measuring around 600 PPFD. Plants are loving it.
All three plants sexed and all are females. Didn’t think otherwise.
So the formula 707 is performing better than expected. Water retention is crazy. Watered the plants on Sunday with a gallon each , today is Thursday and no water needed. Going to try and get to Sunday for a whole week between watering.
*** update, added a short video from 7am this morning. The girls really do like the homemade light.
*** update, aggravated just lost an hours worth of data. I’ll come back in a while and do it again. Fu.k
*** update, Monday evening 7/21/25 quite a bit to go over so let me go take a toke and we’ll get things started. Hang on.
Ok. Girls had a great weekend. The weather was warm with more sunshine than was predicted. All systems are now a go! All three have entered stretch and fear larger than normal plants are in my future.
Knowing the nutrients were ready and available went ahead and watered them even though the formula 707 could have taken them a couple of days longer before requiring water. Each plant was watered Sunday with 2 gallons of silica amended, 5 ml per gallon Emerald Harvest sturdy stalk. Now bring on those massive colas.
Each plant is showing its own unique characteristics. The 91 Grapes is tall and massive. The Vanilla Fizz is a bush and I think will flower first. The Harvey Wallbanger has yet to produce a leaf that has more than five points, not one, seven point leaf yet.
Started doing a little LST today and will try to do some each day to stay caught up on it and the trimming.
Gave the pots a thorough soaking on Sunday and don’t anticipate having to water them again until Sunday. If I do have to water them again before then that means I have monster plants that are thirsty.

sanibelisl *** update, 7/23. Girls are very happy today. Another day with no afternoon sun. Thank goodness I hung a light above them or I would be dealing with some light starved ladies but as it is they are chugging right along. Another day that I won’t have to worry about watering them thanks to the Roots Organic Formula 707 soil, stuff is making me a believer. Really healthy plants on their way into flower by the next weeks update I’m sure. Strong well pronounced female organs I hope mean big buds later on down the line. The Harvey Wallbanger is coming on strong, now the second tallest. She still has not produced a fan leaf with more than five points on it, all 5’s or 3’s. The Vanilla Fizz I still think will enter flower first as the other two are still producing opposite nodes and are not staggered yet. The 91 Grapes stinks!! Not even in flower yet but stinks, very chemmy.

sanibelisl Can’t find anything negative to report. Summer camp is going well. All girls are in stretch and looking like they’re going to be basketball players. All are on course to be tall for auto’s. The shortest is now the tallest, the Harvey Wallbanger is at 30 inches, the next is the 91 Grapes at 28 inches
and bringing up the rear is the Vanilla Fizz at 26 inches tall. The weather has been a little hotter and drier past few days so the girls will either get a drink tomorrow or the next day.
*** update August 2 Day 44
Girls are about half way through summer camp and have been in stretch for the last week. Big changes have happened with the Harvey W. Now five inches taller than the 91 Grapes and the Vanilla Fizz still being the shortest at 28 inches tall. All three girls have entered flower so additional stretch should be minimal (we will see). Lights have the option of adding different spectrums for specific effects, so added some blue to see if it doesn’t slow down the stretch (I think it will). Should help tighten up the nodes as well. Watered them once on Thursday morning with plain water ph of 6.0. Debating whether or not to top dress with bloom nutrients this next time or wait until stretch has stopped.
*** video update
@yan402, going to top dress this time around with a Biuld-a-Soil 3-5-2 and water only at a ph of 6.0 until flower when i will either go with pk 13/14 or top dress again with a flower geared finisher
@GroloCup, thanks, they are about explode into stretch, currently gathering energy... if i could only get some sunny afternoons things would progress even better
Sus account. user pushes seeds and products of various brands then gets pissy when you call them out on it. Can't seem to understand a DM or learn how to use one. Has a lot of questions open about basic stuff but demonstrates a greater knowledge of things at times.... just weird over all, something fishy. Don't trust the brands they trying to push, likely a sad excuse for a unofficial brand rep. Loves spamming users profile walls vs replying to a comment or using their inbox. again off behaviors.
