Thanks all for the well wishes! I began germination and mixed my soil today, August 6. Here’s my whole grow strategy. If anyone has any pointers or tips I’ll take them. Keep in mind I want a 100% organic grow: Soil mixture is Happy Frog, organic perlite, organic worm castings, Black Kow manure compost, Dr. Earth 4-4-4 and Dr. Earth 3-9-4. I mixed it all in a giant ass tub. I will be filling my fabric 5 gallon pots probably on Sunday. I’m letting the flavors in the soil meld. Plus I don’t really need it until germination happens. I’ll leave enough space to top dress a few times. I’ll top dress with 4-4-4 and worm castings every 4 weeks or so in veg and top dress with 3-9-4 and worm castings every 4 weeks or so through flower. My final feed should be in week 4-6 of flower to let the plants use the nutrients all up. PH will be regulated to 6-6.2 throughout this grow. White vinegar will be my ph down acid. I don’t need ph up. And that’s the plan for the whole grow as far as my feed goes. My training strategy is top once I have 5 nodes, LST as soon as I can, prune smaller branches and heavy defoliation once I see preflowering. I’ll continue light defoliation until after stretch happens, then maybe one more heavy defoliation and a lollipop after the stretch. I know these are autos, but I feel like that might be successful for me. Especially pruning back the branches that are going to only produce garbage buds. Watering strategy is to use a spray bottle every couple days until early veg. I’ll start some light watering around the outside perimeter every 3 days or so (maybe 2) to encourage the roots to stretch. In later veg I’ll be increasing that watering volume, but not frequency. In flower I’ll be doing the same frequency and watering until run off.
