@toaster37, yeah but usually i just pinch it until i feel it gives way, if it needs to be tied it gets tied... i don't usually try to get it to break all the way. i have been going with "heavy LST, light HST" as the mantra. if you find the pics of that big CBD Crew plant, you might be able to tell -- you could actually see my fingerprints on the manifold in white against the black/purple.

@Jaindoh, Thank you! When you say HST, do you mean supercropping, i.e. pinching the stem until it cracks, then bending over?

@toaster37, yeah but it's weird because she changed the tutorial to be less specific and more generalized https://www.growweedeasy.com/simple-cannabis-plant-training-guide used to be the "no technique" "90 degree" tutorial, complete with using stakes -- which I just use ties now -- to get the plant all the way sideways. I (trans)plant with the puck off center and train the main cola all the way down without topping. HST the main stem at the base and every 3 nodes. Cut any branches that are going to crowd -- not an issue on this crop -- and this run i'm trying topping all of the branches' sub-branches instead of removing them. They grow into crowding suckers anyways but can still be buds at the base of colas if not removed. I use short length of soft rubber-coated wire ties, with twist ties to secure them to craft safety pins on the bag. Here is the index of training techniques I learned from: https://www.growweedeasy.com/cannabis-plant-training/

@Dries96, These are 90-degree trained with LST tiedowns on the main and all the branches. Planted them off-center for this. I have done HST on almost every branch in this grow in order to try to grow short yielding plants. That is what forms the knot. I feed a lot of potassium silicate which helps a lot with LST, and also helps the plant develop larger trunk/branches. Shorter plants with large-diameter trunks and branches, less distance to pump... very vigorous. Particularly with the root supplements to have a lot of feeder roots on the other end.

@toaster37, i am just about to take pictures for the week 1 update for my 00 NL, ironically enough. my next purchase will definitely include blue dream cbd, most likely humboldt seed org despite their expense.

@Jaindoh, Thanks for the tips! I deal with anxiety and depression, too. The PB&J of mental health issues :/. I have a NL by 00 seeds drying right now, I have also heard that it is good for anxiety. I am planning some blue dream for my next grow, and I will look into your recommendations for the future.

@toaster37, not as of yet though i did have very good anti-anxiety effects off WorldofSeeds Northern Lights x Big Bud Ryder, which I'd reccomend highly overall. I've seen good things with blue dream and silver haze, other people swear by sour diesel or og kush, all available in autos. Best I can do, I swore off autos after the third crop that took just as long if not longer than a photo grow.
