@Jdscustomcreations
, Your first comment is probably the most OG thing ever. Thanks for the tip. It's not a creation I figured anyone had have happen yet since the strains are so new. Nice to know I'm gonna grow some fire from it. Now I really hope it's a girl because I'll just mom the crud out of her if so.

, I was very surprised. You never know what you are going to get when you accidentally cross two strains. If it's a male (fingers crossed it's not) the genetics will be very nice to just instantly put on an old favorite. It's fun playing with pollen, accidental or not.

Well folks, his or her first week is finally finished. Very strong growth from the plant in my opinion. You'd have to know how Lemon Alien and Quantum Kush grow to know what I'm talking about here but I'm more than happy to fill you all in. It is too early to tell if the plant inherited any of the Lemon Alien's traits (Grows very stocky. A short bush that almost looks stunted) but the plant most certainly has the early traits of the Quantum Kush (Grows like a weed. Gets very tall quickly and has a very robust root structure). I've honestly never seen a 7 day, from seed, plant have roots that are beginning to show on the side of the small cup. It appears as though this breed is something very strong and I'm excited to see it flourish. Stay tuned for more next week.

, I would like to state that I don't consider anything that comes out of my mouth to be knowledge or fact; only personal experiences that have taught me a thing or two. Everyone has their own preferences. If you cut everything off the plant it's not hard to deduce that what you don't cut off with grow larger and thicker. Thicker and larger buds on the plant don't always mean higher yield though and it's a common misconception that it does. When you grow an 8 ft plant with a massive wide canopy if you lollipopped the whole thing you'd be losing a 1/4 to a 1/2 pound of popcorn nugs. It's more efficient to supplement lighting and make sure the plant grows as it wants to. You'd never see an outdoor grower lollipop their plants lower half so if you can achieve par lumens on the lower canopy why wouldn't you keep you? You dig mate?

, I believe they are underrated and for no reason. I have buddies who've done comparison grows side by side. Same Strain, Same nutrients, Same Lighting and one of the grows they lollipoped the bottom of the plant and in the other grow they let the plant just grow. They achieved 20% more flower in the end from not lollipopping their plants. Lolipopping the lower branches of your plant is only effective and needed if you don't have light penetration to those areas. I'll post pictures tonight when my lights come on to show how the light is having no trouble reflecting off the mylar and directly reaching the lower areas of the canopy. If light is hitting a solar panel there is no reason to disconnect the solar panel. (Though thats a bad analogy because solar panels are only as effective as the worst functioning unit in the sequence, but i digress) If they get hit with light they'll yield good buds. Now if we are talking about tertiary and quaternary branches beneath the canopy that are only receiving reflective light and not direct light it might be prudent.

, I'd say go for it buddy, it works wonders in our house. You'll notice the smell vanish!

, I use carbon filters because I'm a very clean person and I like my whole house to smell like whatever I have in my wax burners. I currently use 4 inch Ipower filters with their ducting and fan counterparts. They get the job done for sure. Also, if you are pulling air from outside your house the are a great and keeping pests out. I have a scentsy burner in the room outside the closet that the tents are in. All you can smell is coffee from the wax melt. The key is getting a filter with good charcoal in it. Australian is the best so I hear. I'm considering slamming a third Vipar in there but i'd probably need to update the air intake system to manage all that heat so I'll most likely keep things as is + or - a few T5 bars.If you are seeking to invest in a filter I suggest you wait until you want to spend 100$+ on a whole system of ducting and fans to go with it. My air system probably ran about 200$ but thats because my system of two filters is running air for two tents (Which works perfectly but the way). I'll post pictures of it tonight when I post the first day of week two for this grow.
