Unless you have nothing to do, this is a nighttime bud. I would make it the equivalent of about 6 ounces of whiskey for several hours. No walking a straight line for sure. Couch lock is an understatement but you can get some incredible sleep on GDP if you take it till the trichomes are all opaque.

This was a good grow for me. I am letting them hang dry for a week or so the smell is amazing so sticky. I made a couple of dabs and the taste was amazing sweet fruity berries flavor and smooth inhale and exhale. Not bad for my 2 second attempt at growing. Total dry bud 154g/5.4oz about 2.7oz a plant. I Can't wait to smoke it when it's all cured🤗🥦💨

I harvested the main colas at 6 weeks and some of the smaller buds two weeks later. This is not a 6 of even 8 week strain, especially during the summer. Her growth is temperature dependent, if its 85+ expect some serious thai influence to become apparent, especially during stretch. At 6 weeks I had maybe 5% amber tricomes and by week 8 maybe 50%. Despite 20 degree differences between day and night temps, none of the four plants I grew showed any purple until week 8ish of flower. Potency and terpene content both ended up quite underwhelming, 15% thc tops. All things considered, being that this was my first soil grow, I wont knock the strain or genetics yet. In fact I have four more clones that just went into flower, this time for the full 9-10 weeks she outta take. Dried for a week, cured for 6 as of this review. Harsh smoke because not flushed and high temps made for poor terp profile so best for edibles which proved to be sativa leaning with a decent body high. I dont think I got the best results that this strain could provide so I will give her one more try before she is out of my garden.

This is my best harvest yet...this clone did not disappoint me in any way. Today is the first day of the curing process. I smoked a blunt of it today, just to try it out......speechless. It's way better than the mother plant.

All of the tops are solid. This is my favorite strain, and the only thing I'm displeased with is that it didn't turn purple, due to high temperature. It smokes smooth. No harshness. The potency isn't what I was expecting, but it's still curing so who knows.

Granddaddy Purple by Ken Estes _____________________________ 「 STRAIN REVIEW 」 SEE/SMELL/SMOKE | 9.2/10 There is no need to label these jars, because Ken's award winning Granddaddy Purple speaks for itself once again. The smell has a certain weight to it that lets you know its about to lock you to the couch. The deep purple on the leaves and buds compliment the layer of overcrowded Tricomes. This is one of the best strains out there if you are going for the 'bag appeal'. The fruity taste and smell are quite pungent and is very distinctive when compared to other buds from its lineage. With a very harsh smell you will be surprised at how smooth this strain takes to being inhaled. All smoke tests are done through a Bong & bowl. HIGH | 9.5/10 One of the most potent highs I'v experienced in a long time. This nighttime strain is perfect for those fighting against insomnia or a pain related illness. With fast hitting body euphoria and a severe couch-lock feel that is unparalleled be sure to take care of your obligations before smoking this one! This strain is not to be used as a Daily smoker unless dealing with chronic pain or something of the sort, because mentally it dulls you very significantly. ______________________________ 「 GROW REVIEW 」 BUDS/YIELD | 8/10 In terms of Yield this cycle it was above final expectations, but below what was expected from germination. This was due to many factors. Some of those factors are a decrease in plant count and a mutated plant. I am extremely pleased with the bud quality of these genetics and the yield was quite acceptable. GROWTH | 8/10 The growth of this Ken Estes GDP was explosive and in bursts. It was clear that aeration around bud sites and roots played a primary factor this in grow. The smell came very early in the growth while the purple phenotypes didn't display until late ROOTS | 7.5/10 The roots reacted a lot with the environment at every step. They really enjoy temperatures to stay steady without much difference between reservoir swaps. Without the constant use of Hydroguard root rot was developed on a single plant and a slow turnaround rate impacted her final yield. Overall the roots did fine in a DWC environment, however constant use of Hydrogaurd is recommended.

I tried a little of the GDP that I cut off and dried about a week ago and it's very potent for sure. Tastes and smells like grape candy. I will update with dry weight when it's done drying. There's some nice purple coloring in the tips of the buds. Overall I'm happy with the results. I'll pay a more in depth review after I get a few weeks dry and cure.

18/4 From seed for 2 months then switched light cycle 12/12 for 60 days. Smaller lower nugs dried out pretty quick. That’s how I go to a taste. Day 6 of drying for the larger two colas. Can’t wait to taste those.

First off thank you to everyone that has viewed this diary and for everyone that gave me a like 😄 This has been my first proper diary here and this is the first time I have documented so much of a grow before, you people here really inspired me to actually write stuff down 😆 AGDP is easy to grow and not much trouble at all. They like their C/mg but I used Canna classic which does not have the extra C/mg Canna Coco has. I'd say it has a good resistance to heat.
