Strawberry Banana is an indica-dominant hybrid cannabis strain developed by DNA Genetics in collaboration with Serious Seeds. This strain is a cross between Crockett's Banana Kush and a strawberry phenotype of Bubble Gum. The strain is renowned for its sweet, fruity flavor profile, reminiscent of its namesake fruits. Users often report a smooth, creamy smoke with pronounced notes of strawberry and banana, making it a favorite among those who appreciate flavorful cannabis experiences. In terms of effects, Strawberry Banana is known for inducing a happy and peaceful state, enhancing creativity and sensory awareness. Its high THC content contributes to a potent experience, which may be overwhelming for novice users. Cultivating Strawberry Banana is relatively straightforward, making it suitable for both novice and experienced growers. The strain thrives in both indoor and outdoor environments, with a flowering period of approximately 9 weeks. Under optimal conditions, growers can expect above-average yields of dense, resinous buds.

Our experience with the Strawberry Banana from DNA Genetics has been a bit bittersweet. We germinated about seven seeds, and the truth is that they had quite a hard time getting started. In the end, four plants came out, and from the beginning, we noticed that it was a rather delicate and sensitive genetic throughout the grow. One of the plants barely produced resin and also had quite a bit of foxtailing. Part of that was surely our fault due to the conditions or handling during flowering, because in the end, growing is half experience and half negotiating with a plant. The other plants ended up being acceptable and had a good overall appearance, but together we found it to be a rather demanding variety, sensitive to changes, and somewhat complicated to manage compared to other genetics we've grown. It hasn't been a bad experience, but honestly, we expected a more stable and straightforward grow given the variety's reputation. Still, I'm sure that in more specialized hands or with a more refined environment, it could show much greater potential.
