Big & Chunky Perlite

FoxFarm’s Big & Chunky® Perlite is a premium-grade horticultural amendment engineered to supercharge drainage, air circulation, and root health. Made from expanded volcanic glass, this perlite features notably coarse particles which helps prevent soil compaction, keeps root zones oxygenated, and maintains ideal moisture balance. This versatile product is perfect for blending with potting soils such as Ocean Forest® or Happy Frog®, where a one‑to‑four ratio enhances aeration and drainage in containers. It excels as a standalone medium for hydroponic systems or propagation, especially when paired with Light Warrior® Seed Starter in a 2:1 perlite mix. For container use, simply place a 1″ layer of Big & Chunky perlite at the bottom, blend in the perlite-soil mix, fill the pot leaving a 1″ planting buffer, and water to settle before transplanting.
