I’m ending this run with one of my favorite grows. It was a risky bet, but I think it paid off!
Now it’s time for me to take a break, recharge my batteries, and come back stronger for the next adventure.

Second run with Umami Seed Co and I’m seriously impressed again!
I already had something exceptional with Frostade, but this one is somehow even a level above.
I’ve grown her in soil, in coco, from clone, as a bonsai, topped and untopped and no matter the method, she’s absolutely incredible every time.
Strong genetics, crazy adaptability, beautiful growth structure, and insane quality all around. Definitely a standout cultivar.
The terps are just from another world insanely complex, unique, and impossible to compare to anything else.

Not a great harvest, but she smells amazing! I harvested her a few days ago and she is currently drying, she will be allowed to dry for another couple of days, before I take her down and start the curing process in glass jars! This should take a few weeks, after which I will post a smoke report.
Smoke Report - garbage. I smoked her flower, vaped her flower and pressed it for rosin and dab'd her, all really mild flavour profile with an average high. Not a great experience with Umami.

Shinigami developed with a very dominant main cola and a more vertical growth structure. The plant formed several solid side branches with compact, resin-rich buds. Particularly striking was the strong trichome production, which extended deep into the sugar leaves and gave the buds a very frosty appearance.
The aroma was intense and pleasant, with a very nice, complex scent profile during flowering. However, in cultivation, the phenotype proved to be somewhat more sensitive to higher fertilization. Overall, a very resinous and aromatic phenotype that impressed despite its slight nutrient sensitivity.
