PapaTerps ZodaZa - Umami
Continuing 2026 with another "premium" strain, ZodaZa by the Umami Seed Company, she is the third of my five "premium brand" strains for the start of 2026 - I've chosen her for her sweet floral flaour and calming balanced affects.
Day 1 - I've dropped the seed into a plain glass of RO tap water, pH'd to 6.3. I'm using the floating method here, my go-to germination method. She will remain floating in the water for at least two days, I will check her every day for a taproot, once it appears, I will place her into a starter pot, before she is moved into her 20L main pot.
Day 2 - This one has germinated really quickly, the seed must be really fresh! A taproot has appeared from the seed and it is at an acceptable length to move her into her starter pot! She will be left in here to grow for the next few days, until she is big and strong enough to be transplanted into her main grow pot! 🙏
Day 5 - Seedling has appeared from the soil and is about 4cm in height. 🤘🏻
Day 10 - she is growing really well, another few days and she'll be in veg 💪🏻

Day 15 - she is in veg 🎉 she started growing her third set of leaves as well as a couple of extra nodes! I've been watering her with .25 of a liter this week as she is still in her starter pot, I will be moving her into her main grow pot tomorrow - I wouldn't normally left her this long in the starter pot, but I've been really busy the last week, so I haven't time... But it doesn't seemed to have stopped her!
Day 16 - I've removed her from the starter pot and planted her into her main grow pot 🎉 she will remain here for the rest of her lifecycle. Her root system is extensive and had protruded out of the pot, so I had to break the starter pot to protect the root system, but it was worth it - I created space in the soil, pre-watered it with 0.5L of RO tap water and the BioBizz Root juice solution and placed the root ball into the pot, covered it with soil and watered it again with another 0.25L of the same solution.
