Time to cut

After the harvest I did a bud wash with hydrogen peroxide. I wanted to make sure that the plant is clean. For this; I needed to cut the branches down because no bucket is big enough to bud wash a whole plant. This makes the drying time faster since smaller branches dry more quickly because of less water retention. She dryed for about a week.

I love the sativa shaped nug-towers! When my plants grow big, I like to grow them until the very end of their cycle! That's why the extended flower period. Week 8 Flower Flush flush flush 💦🚽💦🚽💦 It's extremely important to flush for at least 14 days when using synthetic nutes, or any bottled nutes in my opinion. The aim is to make her cannibalize (fade) as much as possible before she's chopped. By doing this, she's using up her stored nutrients, causing the leaves to eventually die. The better the flush the cleaner the smoke 👌💨 even when in an organic set up, the plant needs to be nicely faded before being harvested. Otherwise she's still full of nutrients. I still feel I'll be able to get an even better flush when I eventually make the switch to RO water, as my tap water holds a ppm value of approx 150. It's not too much, but 0 is always better. She was taken down on Day 57 flower, after a 16 Day flush. I didn't want to take her any further as she was quite stressed being so close to the light. So to avoid getting seeds I waited until she had a beautiful fade before giving her the chop ✂️ I always take my girls down about 30mins before the light turns on so there is minimal chlorophyll production in the plant. This is to ensure the best smell, taste and overall burn after drying and curing. A subtle but very sweet-ish tropical fruit skin kind of smell to her. Her buds are super dense and covered in trichomes. I trimmed off all fan leaves and then each branch was hung in my drying box and placed in a cool area. She was dry after 6 days and ready to be dry trimmed and jarred for curing. I'll post those pics with the harvest update! Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺

D71/F23 - 11.29 - Maybe didn't love the defoliation, but looking ok. No discoloration or anything, just a little slower to start chunking up than its neighbors. <3 D73/F26 - 12.1 - The 3x3 9lb seems to have done better with the defoliation, but after I fed with a bit of molasses, found some fungus gnats flying around. Have traps and diatomaceous earth down, so we should nip this pretty quickly. D74/F27 - 12.2 - A little concerned about this one cola whose top pistils seem curled compared to the other on the plant. Take a look and let me know if this is normal or not. All my mature fungus gnats have been trapped, not seeing anymore buzzing around. I suppose the larva could still do a little damage for now? D76/F29 - 12.4 - Doing fine in the 4x5 tent :)

Strain is actually very easy to grow so i would recommend it even to begginers. Robust plant that did very well on topping, hst and lst training. Buds are thick and heavy. They release very pungent and piney smell with deep tones that reminds grape. After a week of drying i did some bud testing and i would describe the high as awesome physical stone with a bit of euphoria and happiness. Cant wait to cure the buds for a couple of weeks. They responded great last round, so I expect to see the start to put a lot of weight on soon. The black sugars (second column of three from the left) we way more leafy than the fast white widows

9.2.25: The plants had a good watering, they're all still drinking a lot. Which is great, as that means growth, which, at this stage, we desperately need! I went ahead and gave all the plants a thorough watering each with: 2ltrs of dechlorinated water, PH'd to 6.5 with:- ♡ 4ml of Xpert Nutrients Bloom Booster ♡ 4ml of Xpert Nutrients Cal-Mag amino acids ♡ 4ml Seaweed extract liquid I don't know how this scrog net is going to work out. I think the squares are too big. It's elasticated, which I like. However, I'm extremely cautious with watering and moving the net. It's only a matter of time before I break more branches. It's such a hassle with it in there, honestly. I can't get in the tent properly to even check the weight of pots, as it's all weaved through, and again, I will snap branches. I did have a free net with the tent, which I think was smaller squares. I think I will use some other training next run. It's really not my kind of setup. I'm too interested in moving things and inspecting the plants constantly. The net is driving me up the wall. 😣 I'm considering removing it and trying something else, but it's also a bit too late for oldest plants.9.2.25: Gave the plants another good soak. I used 2ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4. It contained the following nutrients; ♡ 4ml of Xpert Nutrients Bloom Booster ♡ 4ml of Xpert Nutrients Cal-Mag amino acids ♡ 4ml Seaweed extract liquid ♡ 0.5g of Ecothrive Biosys. The plants are undergoing explosive growth at this stage, which I'm thrilled by! Purple Lemonade is turning purplish hues. Pink Mist has so many bud sites and is looking very healthy. Do-sì-dos is growing vigorously and looking promising, especially considering all my unfortunate mishaps! 😅 Watermelon also has considerable growth. However, my training has made a mess out of the structure. Which I consider another valuable take away. Bubble
