Day 44 - Hi everyone. Last week I dropped Bio-Grow down to 2.0ml but lower growth is starting to get a little yellow so I'm upping it back to 2.5ml. I also tried upping the Bio-Bloom to 2.5ml but it caused minor nutrient burn so she's going to stay at 2ml the rest of her life. Day 46 - I picked off some leaves that looked bad and or were blocking bud sites. I hope this won't slow her down much. I heard that even if a leaf doesn't look good you should keep it but I definitely needed to get rid of a few because they were on top of each other down towards the bottom. I got rid of 9 leaves in total.

Day 145. They are HUNGRY !!! One is a goner, this Thursday is clearing day. Bigger fan leaves which were consumed - will clear better air circulation .... Pink colour for all strawberry crosses .... 7 girls will stay and 4 are pink !!! Hope weather will love me .... NO HERMIES TOO !!!!! Happy growing

By now I would have expected to have already collected. The plant continues to develop the flowers in an anomalous way, in fact they do not close, and they are growing 'in dots', along the 'tentacles' of the flower. I think the cause is light, mainly.

Day 102 since seed touched soil. Still 3g of phosphorus and mycorrhizae to pot, once a week. Green sensation is now 1ml/L , will use same doze till the end. Epsom salt 100 ppm. Girl is flying, got funky purple tint, havent seen it in other diaries of this strain. This grow is very complicated, in basement, so humidity is very high, have 3 oscillation fans running non stop, plus extraction fan on 70%. I did not one grow with such high RH , hopefully this will go smooth too ! Happy Growing !!!

Second grow ever - Not seen much about Diablo xl but know it’s a cross between jack herer and big devil #2. Excited to see how this one goes. Wed 3rd March - Placed Diablo XL into ph balanced water and put in a warm dark place for 24 hours Thur 4th March - Seed has sunk after 24hours have made my own propagation kit which I will place in a blacked out tub for the next 3 days. I will check up on it every day to see if soil is still damp. Fri 5th March - No sprout today if she doesn’t sprout by tomorrow night I will give some light to give her energy. Sat 6th March - Still no sign will put light on tonight. Happy growing. Sun 7th March - Wooo! She’s showing signs of sprouting can see she’s trying to get out her she’ll casing. Excited to see what I wake up to tomorrow!! 🍁

The plant just seems to be sick. As last week the leaves are mutated and nothing like my previous grows. Growth is slow too, all in it's a bit of a runt. Purple is coming though and it is certainly interesting and LST is easy as the internodal spacing is good. Very low hopes for this grow but still early doors. I looked at other grows on here and a couple showed up as sickly like this one.

******************************************************************** START OF WEEK Went to the grow store and wound up with an AC Infinity EVO6. It should be a nice light for the future, and when my warranty replacement comes back, assuming that won't be an issue, it'll be nice to have a decent back-up. That's the bright side, but I am a little bummed about laying down the cash with ten to 14 days left. That part is the kick in the nutes. Fine, moving on. As for the grow, it's plowing forward. These plants are doing all the things we want them to do right now. They're getting fat, they're getting sticky, and the fade is fading away. Some branches may call for some last minute support, but for now the sucked-in tent walls will continue to suffice. The feed is still at 1100ppm and pk boosted, but the plan is to finish this week around 750. ******************************************************************** END OF WEEK Day 63 of flowering has arrived. I've backed off the nutrients. We're now sitting at 850ppm with about 6-8 gallons in the system remaining. This should equate to a Thursday refill with no feed, and then a Saturday or Sunday chop. VPD has been running a touch high this week, but that's not a concern. It's staying in the ideal range for most of the lights on period, and then trailing up in the last few hours to around 1.7-1.8. No biggie. The new light is really nice, but it runs hotter than the combo of the S22 and S44 (500W total), and that's with the EVO6 driver outside of the tent. This also isn't a big deal. The max tent temp is around 84, and before that wouldn't get past 82. Not a huge difference, and potentially better for the plants with the additional heat. I've got two CO2 mushroom bags in there, so more temp should mean more production at that level. I'm excited for this grow to finish and I'm looking forward to sampling the variety. I'm definitely using half, if not more, to make bubble hash. I'm probably just going to run it all together, as opposed to having runs for each pheno. I'll sample the tops independently, and smash rosin by pheno, but I'm not sold on isolating the hash. Seems like triple the work, but I've got a week to make further considerations, so we'll see. This will be my last grow until I sell this place and move into my next place. I'm going to miss growing. It's brought me a ton of peace by giving me something to anticipate, study, and take pride in. It's such an enjoyable hobby. I'll miss it in the time being, but I'm grateful that I won't need to step foot inside of a dispensary in 2024. Big win there! Everyone should grow their own.

***** Week 11 growth - February 13 to 19, 2021 - Week 2 Flower ***** This girl is looking very nice but she is the shortest of the bunch. She has not growing out as wide and tall as the other girls in the tent but that could have changed with an extra week of Veg. 8 weeks from seed was quite quick to throw a girl into flower so it’s all good.....just noting it👍😃 2nd SCROG layer in now....finally😞 Lots of work to do in cleaning up the lower leaves next week. Will do larger leaf strip and lolipoping when they start focusing more on bud development. Light is at 24” only pulling 310 watt, and the meter at the tops of the girls is roughly 28,500LUX. It is feeling like it’s a little strong for them but it’s close......the curling leaves is slowly increasing on the tops. By the end of the week we are at 400watts and reading 38,500LUX, this should be roughly 980 umol/s/m2.......over 900 and less than 1,000.......should be good for going into week 3. Nutrients switched over to flower schedule and following week 2.....but so-called back a couple of items. Adding some other items beyond IPP line so backing off some of the ppm to compensate. Still only one “feeding” per week. Early flower so hitting the microbes a little harder this week and next and then slowly start backing off. I like Remo’s Natures Candy for sweetener because it has humic, sweetener and old school molasses, amongst other things to feed the microbes as they are in coco. Bud Fusion being used now for pk boost.........no more “red kool-aid”😂 Still adding Rezin from Green Planet becuase it seems to boost my trichome quantity.....Terpinator likely this week as well......increase some of the sulfer to increase aromas. Little more detail....... Feb 13/21 - Day 8 - 3.5L watering with CalMag @ 1ml, Nature’s Candy @ 1ml, Resin @ 1.5ml Feb 14/21 - Day 9 - 2nd SCROG added today.....finally. Plucked a bunch more leaves in the process - watering with microbes only today. Recharge has some molasses in it so just adding that. - 4L water for these girls with Recharge @ 1/2 tsp/gal - 320ppm and 6.0pH Feb 15/21 - Day 10 - today is big feed day....its been 7 days. - 3L each girl with all the IPP line as listed plus silica @ 1ml, Nature’s Candy @ 1ml. (Bud Fusion was 0.2gr/L) - 1325ppm and 6.0pH - Girls gave run off at 3L today so didn’t push past that. Feb 16/21 - Day 11 - some feed left from yesterday so added 6L of plain water to dilute it and watered into the girls tonight. - 3L full feed of nutrients for each girl - 800ppm and 6.1pH Feb 17/21 - Day 12 - 3L each girl with Terpinator and CalMag @ 2ml, Nature’s Candy @ 1ml, Recharge @ 1/2 tsp/gal - 775ppm and 6.1pH - increased light power to 350 watts. Now at 32,500LUX.......take it slow over the next week and keep creeping up. Leaves have a bit of a taco shape coming out and looking fairly serrated at the edges.....pushing the light intensity on the tops👍 - leaf colour on the girls is very good......tips are not burnt either. Feb 18/21 - Day 13 -3L each girl of plain water today - added beneficial bacteria and enzymes @ 1.5ml - 330ppm and 5.9pH - was looking for a little lower pH as I have not been checking runoff. - have to do a leaf strip this weekend......start of week 3. - light power increased again, 400 watts now. Feb 19/21 - Day 14 - day out day.......they have not had one in a bit. - humidity was higher today as door to grow room closed today to assist clones with more humidity. So that takes us through two weeks of flower now. Not knowing this strain enough yet, I suspect feeding will stop at the end of week 6. That leaves four more weeks. I will treat the next two weeks like mid flower for nutes, and the following two weeks as late flower. Feed supplements accordingly. She is a nice plant and looking forward to seeing how her buds form. Looking good ETS!

I prepared a total of three pots, as usual. And this time I used AirPots, which proved to be the best option. I've been using them since the beginning. I used the soil from BioBizz Light-Mix. Pot #1 - I first put Easy Boost Organic nutrition in the form of pellets into the ground, then I added SeaWeed and Mycorrhiz in the recommended doses and mixed everything well. Pot #2 - I also put in Easy Bosst Organic nutrition, Seaweed and Trichoderma. Also in doses according to instructions. Pot #3 - Along with Easy Boost Organic nutrition, I put Bat Guano and Trichoderma. After I prepared the soil, I soaked all the pots well with water and made small holes in which I placed the seeds. I then placed the pots in the Grow Box where the temperature was around 28 degrees and the humidity was around 55%. 05/08/2023 I sprinkled a little water on the surface of the soil. Not too much. 06/08/2023 All three plants sprouted. 07/08/2023 I watered the plants with a little water. Approximately 0.5 liters per each plant. 10/08/2023 Watering. Each 0.5 liters of water. 4202024 or backwards, it’s 4202024. I’m sure there will be other palindromic dates in future, but this is the one and only stoner palindrome date that can happen in our lifetimes. Thanks to Seedsman for the idea of a 420 grow-off and the chance to try some of the latest and greatest. Anyway, started some Blueberry Pie F1 Fast seeds from Seedsman today. Very promising sounding genetics, and I’m very keen to see how she goes. Hopefully we won’t get as much wildfire smoke as we did last year. The plan for this plant is a 16 cola manifold with force flowering (12 h darkness) starting in late July for a couple of weeks. Starting in a glass of water on a heat mat at 25 C. Kept in dark using foil. I’ve decided to avoid plastic for the seed starting. Also, based on a science paper I saw this winter, I’m leaving a ripe apple in the dark with the seeds. Apparently the ethylene gas helps, but only in the dark before light is applied. Tried it with tomato and pepper plants and seems to work. First time trying with my cannabis seeds. Will add the reference to the paper some day. Apr 22: moved into soil. Starting three seeds but I only have room for one plant. Will adopt out the other two. Apr 25: removed foil cover (and apple) and set the plants beside the light that is going for tomatoes and peppers. The seedlings need minimal light at this stage so taking it easy.
