Day 56 The plant is looking very healthy and vigorous at this stage of flowering. The canopy is completely filled out under the SCROG net, and the structure is well maintained, allowing all the main colas to receive even light exposure. Bud development has really accelerated over the past week; the flowers are stacking nicely and the buds are noticeably denser than before. There is a visible increase in trichome production, with sugar leaves already showing a heavy coating of resin. The aroma is becoming stronger and more complex, with a noticeable sweet and earthy scent whenever the tent is opened. The leaves are a deep green color, indicating that nutrient levels are well balanced at the moment. There are no visible signs of major deficiencies or toxicity, although some of the older fan leaves at the bottom are starting to fade slightly, which is normal for this stage of flowering. The plant appears to be focusing its energy on bud production rather than vegetative growth, which is exactly what I want right now. Pistils are still mostly white, but some are beginning to turn orange, which suggests the plant is approaching its final weeks

July 27: she’s starting to preflower so I’m going with phyto-forcing using a 730 nm light for a few seconds at dusk each night. This puts plant into dark mode two hours faster so it’s like getting two more hours of darkness making it a 26 h day. Good trick, and super easy. July 30: video showing how I make my lazy compost tea. Best plants in four seasons of outdoor growing so it definitely works. A similar commercial product would be Recharge which has molasses, Humic acids and bacteria. Aug 1: plants always look super healthy after a round of compost tea.

Ph issues resolved end of Week 10 with multiple applications of lime and 2 flushes with PHd water at 7.5 Just waiting to chop the El Chemi Kiwi at this point which is very close and most likely can be chopped right now. My drying tent is currently in use as I wait the weather to turn around so I can harden them off and plant in the back yard. The strawberry nuggets is likely 1.5 weeks away at least but it is really fattening up more than the chemkiwi.

The lighting intensity is at 833 PPFD, and the solution in the reservoir is fine-tuned to a pH of 6.22, EC of 475, with a temp of 21.8°C. Let’s talk pH in the reservoir: it’s a dynamic process, and I’m constantly adjusting it to keep everything at the right level. The pH tends to rise throughout the week, and each day, I work it back down, fine-tuning it to keep those plants happy and balanced. Managing pH is truly a hands-on job, and it’s worth every moment. I love staying on top of it for optimal nutrient uptake—it’s all about consistent effort and keeping that perfect range dialed in. Leaf Maintenance & Selective Defoliation These leaves are HUGE and gorgeous, creating a lush canopy that’s nearly too perfect! I’ve been taking a few leaves here and there, focusing on leaves that may be blocking light from reaching lower parts of the plant. Selective defoliation at this stage is key because it opens up airflow and allows light to penetrate deep, boosting energy distribution across the whole plant. Big, healthy leaves mean we’re getting excellent photosynthesis, but a gentle, strategic defoliation can guide that energy toward those developing buds. The Permanent Markers are finally taking off! They've at least doubled in height since last week. Of course, they're still really small, but it's cool to see them finally getting going.
