Greetings my dear Jungletamers, So a major surprise came when @MarsHydroLED contacted us and asked if would like to try out their new SP 3000 light. Being a fan of Mars Hydro for years, we of course accepted their offer. We are totally in love with this light. I was when I saw it in another grower's setup and was in awe of its output and results. So with much pride and thankfulness for the presents the Universe bestowed on us, in the form of MarsHydroLEDS offer and the bountiful harvest of the last grow, (which I am thoroughly enjoying btw, such a great weed to have grown ourselves) we start out on a new adventure that we can't wait to share with you. With many lessons learned from the previous grow, a mighty producing strain in the form of Expert Seeds Gorilla Glue #4, a.k.a Expert Gorilla's and a tweaked super soil mixture, we are setting out to hopefully get over a gram per watt, preferably 1.5. The Setup A 4.5 (140 cm) x 2(70) x 6.2 (200) grow tent, giving me a .98 m2 workspace. This space is customized to my needs. A standing fan will provide airflow through the whole grow, a top fan will help guide cooler air past my lights onto the grow. 3 56 ltr pots will be the home for the plants when they are 2 weeks old, up to then in smaller jars. The Light The leading role and star of the show will be played by the Mars Hydro SP-3000, so kindly provided by MarsHydroLED, which we will test and review here and I might say, endorse. I'm very careful with who I endorse and support these days, but a company with that many wins in design, I'm talking ever since their first range came out in 2009 these guys have been raising the bar for the whole industry, I did not hesitate to support this leading brand. If you want to compete with these guys, you better bring some quality AND affordable pricing. Why do I endorse the SP-3000 without ANY hesitation? It is seriously THE BEST light on the market in this price range and size group. It has an enormously effective output in U/Mol and with 30% less energy waste comparing to older LED lights. Prove me wrong! And with a company holding a considerable market share selling thousands of units every month, competing on price and quality, one would think that customer service would suffer. Of course, also Mars Hydro is not perfect, but check the sheer amount of people that not only praise the light but also the service received, should the light somehow not perform up to par. It is this dedication to their customer base that made this company have a fanbase... Yes, a fanbase with a website and a wiki. So if you are looking to buy new lights, check out the END OF SUMMER OFFER at the Mars-Hydro Global Store on Aliexpress: https://marshydroled.aliexpress.com/ 👈 Check their offers but also their score, they ship from a warehouse near you so you don't have the extra import fees!! Cut out the middleman and have a deal on these lights!! At the moment I write this in August 2021, the lights are 408,20 euro when sent from Germany to the rest of Europe, that's 40 euro cheaper than the other Mars outlets, BUT EVEN 60 euros cheaper than ordering at a grow store!! The Strain: Experts Seeds - Expert Gorilla feminized regular. Don’t let the name fool you because Expert Gorilla is suitable for growers of any skill level. However, you do need to be an experienced smoker because Expert Gorilla is one of the most potent strains on the market. Lineage: Chem Sis x Chocolate Diesel x Sour Dubb Popularity: Extremely Popular Flavor/Aroma Profile: Chocolate, Earthy, Fuel Yield: 400 g/m2 Stress Tolerance: High resistance to disease Potency: 24% THC Flowering time: 58 - 63 days The Soil: Those who saw my Monstercropped Gelato #33 grow (you should see it if you didn't, I'm so proud of that grow), know about my super soil and organic nutrients/ permaculture tea combo that starred in my previous diary. Because of the great results, we are going to use the same recipe, adjusted some more with some new ingredients that will complete the mix and give an even more sustained super soil buffer. 20% Atami Bi-grow (very similar to ocean forest) 20% Atami worm castings 20% Atami Coco Coir 10% Hydrocorn 10% Peat powder 1 cup Fossil seaweed chalk 1 cup bonemeal 1 cup bloodmeal 1 cup Microlife 3-4 teaspoons of epsom salt 3 cups of activated biochar (activated with our own permaculture tea) I just made layers, starting with hydro corn on the bottom to aid airflow/run-off. On this I started layering the coco coir, Bi-grow, peat, castings, and amendments in a way that the more mature the plants get, the more phosphorous and less nitrogen they will find. Every time I made three layers, I would mix them by hand. This way we simulate natural soil, which consists of humic layers, composting plant waste, fungal and microbial life, and nutrients from fossilized sources. The Nutrients I will start with just adding 6.4 PH water, although this soil should buffer ph itself and regulate, after 4 weeks, I'll slowly be adding: - Biobizz Grow - Plagron Alga Grow - Biobizz CalMag - Biobizz Flower - Plagron Alga Flower - Biobizz Topmax - Melasses The Tea Some of you might remember the permaculture tea from my previous grow, I have a short video in my harvest page showing how we make it), it will star again in this grow. - (Rain)water - Comfrey (whole plants) - Dandelion leaves - Roots and leaves from the earlier grow - Minor periwinkle (Finca minor) is a plant we have in our garden, it contains an alkaloid that is associated with increased brain function but also is a light toxin for wee beasties and other unwanted guests like gnats (who hate it). - When flowering I add some wood ash to this mix Thank you for checking in on one of my grows again! Thanks for all the love on my previous grow, check it out if you haven't seen it!! Hug Bud

Hello my friends 👨‍🌾👩‍🌾, I've transplanted the girls in 11l pot today, did a defoliation. The girls started to be really unhappy 🙁 in 2l pot. I continue my training for the scrog. In the 11l pot, in the down, Plagron Batmix, on the top Plagrin light mix. It will be the definitive pots. 💦 I give water each 2 or 3 days 500 ml/plant Water + Rhizo + Terra vega Water + Rhizo + Cannazym After Transplanting 0.95 l/plant Water + Rhizo PH@6 I've down the Lamp @90% Bisous 💋😘, and see you next week. 04/19 - They are recovering accordingly after flush - Still has some yellowing but most of their green has returned - transplanting into 5 gallon pots by the end of the week - these will be a short run - No cloning - running as mothers through out the entire grow. 04/26 - Unfortunately these have locked out and are no longer vegging, I will keep the dairy up for research purposes but I will donate these to the fellow grower that runs outdoors.

Great strain, germinated after 24h in a glass water and came out of the cocosproutpad after like one day and a half later, started a bit slow because of overwatering (extreme heatwave here) but managed to recover very well. A nice fast growing plant in vegative stage with lots of big fanleaves and a pretty bushy under area. Transferred to flowering really fast and then had a little bit of stunt in growth, I expected her bigger but this has a lot to do with my growing conditions and overall temperature and air. Buds kick in really nice and start showing frost early and thickening buds around week 4 of 5. She can handle nutrients like a boss. Not one single sign of nutrientburn throughout the entire grow. The final 4 weeks were pretty tough to keep her happy since I had a lack of light, no good airflow and lots of rain. Also bugs and some budrot but I can't blame the plant for that. She fought her way through it and delivered nice buds. Not too compact but it's an outdoor grow. After 10weeks of flowering she looked done for me. I will grow her again next year and do better. Learned a lot on my first Growdiary experience 😊 Will update with smokereport and total weight/outcome after curing. Many thanks to everyone who has been reading, following and mostly gave comments and answers. U guys and girls rock. See u next grow or in the commentsection of ur grow😉👊 Adios

The stretch continues; hoping for another week of it. Been lightly defoliating from bottom up, lollipopping, and will continue to do so. Will increase nute concentrations next feeding; runoff is getting a bit low. Video/photos taken 63 days after breaking soil, day 14 of flower.

Last week I fought some yellowing of the leaves. Did some small adjustments on PH to keep it in the 5.6 range. Seemed to stop it from progressing. For Week 3 Veg I topped the plants. I plan to flip the lights at the end of week 3 and move into flower. Day 15 I continued to have yellowing leaves even though I had everything looking right. (Added Pic). I decided to look into the PH to see if I was having issues with it. I have a meter in the water 100% of the time taking a reading every 1 sec. It all looked right. But I decided to Calibrate it in 4,7,10 solutions. Found out that my meter was off. So new to the check list is to calibrate the meter before each grow. I was thinking my PH was High, when in reality it was low. put in some PH up to get it back to 5.5 and over the last 16 hours things look pretty good. Leaves look darker. Day 17 Things are looking good. Leaves are getting darker and new growth coming in. Day 18 Turned room temp down to 73F from 76F. Fearing it is warming up my res tank too much. Day 19 Starting to get yellowing again. checked everything and can't find a good reason for it. Did notice some cloudiness in my res tank. Added 2 ML/Gal of peroxide. have Hydroguard on the way to help. I'll be adding more fans this weekend. I have light air movement currently. Also found a few spider mites and sprayed Greencleaner to all plants. Current environment settings: Room Temp 72.74 F Room Humidity 63.63% (After spraying, Trending down). Room CO2 589PPM Tank PH 5.70 Tank PPM (500 Scale) 953 Tank Temp 74.05 F Day 20 Recalibrated my EC probe just to be sure it was also accurate. wasn't off by much. Dialed back my flooding to every 5 hours to encourage Rooting. <-- Strong roots = strong Plants Sprayed for mites

Plant has been getting straight pH balanced water this last week and minimal nutes. It is showing some slight nute burn so I let off a bit and raised the light canopy about 6”. I discovered that what I thought was a calcium or potassium deficiency was actually a rookie grower error by me. I have an RO system that I use to water all my strains in the grow room including this one, but when adding nutes to the water, it takes too long so I had been filling them up with well water. When I had originally tested the well water, I must had used a faulty testing agent as after testing it this last week, I was showing a pH of 7.5 vs. my RO of 6.2. Thus, every time I was adding nutes (multiple times a week) I was significantly fluctuating the pH between regular feedings and nutrient additions. To make matters worse, when I originally thought it was nute burn, I flushed each plant with well water and likely caused additional stress. Anyway, I have since learned that the well water needs to be treated, I only utilize RO water the last few days and plan to do so over this next week. Also, I have turned off the CO2 system as I was starting to see signs of heat stress on a couple of the strains (not this one). The literature I have reviewed suggested that these strains might be able to handle heat closer to 90F but it was also causing issues with high humidity so when I added a dehumidifier, it pushed the day temp to between 90-92F and the overnight temps were not getting low enough (maybe 85F or so). Maybe I could leave out the dehumidifier, but I was getting rH of 70% and didn’t want to risk any bud rot or mildew growth. So for now, I have turned off the CO2 and am getting high temps of 81F with 60% humidity and overnight temps of 74F and 50% humidity. The Future #1 has shown the least signs of stress and is fattening up its buds very nicely. Over the next few weeks I will start monitoring the trichomes for a nice milky color for harvesting.

Black Opium has continued flower development and is looking very promising. The buds are fattening up very nicely. Good things to come for this one! 😁 I'm trying to add in some PK boosters at this stage, she's looking beautiful. I'm adding Bud explosion, Seaweed extract, Ecothrive Flourish, and Sea K. To increase the Phosphorus and Potassium, to aid in flower development. Let's see how fat these buds can get! Here is what I did this week. 4.9.25: I watered with 3L of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4 with; 💜 2ml Trace PH: 6.4 PPM: 361 9.9.25: I watered with 3.25L of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.3 with; 💜 6ml Flourish 💜 1 TSP Sea K(elp) 💜 .5 TSP Bud Explosion PH: 6.3 PPM: 970 Thanks for checking in this week and hanging out in the comments, Best of luck to everyone in the contest, Happy Growing 😊💚✌️🍃🙏
