Hou_Stone In this grow, I'm diving into creating a living soil in 15 L pots, with the idea of building a richer and more balanced substrate than in my previous grows. The goal is to promote soil life to nourish the plant in a more natural way, even if the result won't be perfect. This soil is also designed to be reused and improved over the course of the grows, gradually learning from experience.
To start creating this soil, I began with a base of Light mix (70% peat/30% perlite) 65%. I spread it out in a large basin to mix it well with each addition. To this base, I added activated biochar 10% as well as compost 15% to bring in organic matter and microbial life, and rice hulls to improve aeration 10%. To enrich the soil, I added a small dose of several powdered amendments for 15L: azomite 20g, phosphate 10g, seaweed meal 15g, and oyster shell 15g.
And 45g of biogrow from greenhouse_feeding is the main nutrient base of my mix, providing most of the essential elements needed for growth.
Once the mix was in its pot, I added a light mulch and watered with a slightly acidic pH (5.2) to counteract the tendency of the compost and biochar to raise the soil pH. I will now let the soil stabilize for 2 weeks before adding my seedling.
Hou_Stone 16 days after preparing my soil, I transplant my Ztrawberry that started off slowly in a lightmix. I add a teaspoon of mycorrhizae around the roots to help the root system develop in its new pot, and I water with BioEnhancer.

Hou_Stone I let the plant adapt to the pot, and after a few days of rest, I trim one or two lower levels.

Hou_Stone At this stage, I'm happy, the Ztrawberry seems to be adapting well to my substrate. To try to stimulate microbial life, I watered with a tea that I made (water, bubbler, compost, and molasses). I also added about 15g of seaweed meal to my mulch and a few days later about 15g of malted barley.

Hou_Stone A bit of lolipoping this week. For watering, I used tap water this week, always with a bit of citric acid to lower the pH. I add bioenhancer about once every 3 waterings.
Hou_Stone At the beginning of the week, I do a topping on the tallest branches, I give it a few days to rest, and at the end of the week, I apply my biobloom. I'm announcing the switch to flowering next week.

Hou_Stone Flowering phase this week, on the last day of vegetation I added my biobloom to my mulch before watering. About 50g of biobloom for my 15L pot.
Hou_Stone 17 Febuary
Flowering is well underway, with vigorous pistil development. The plants don't show any major deficiencies, and I'm pleased to see that my soil is stable! I'm no longer adding fertilizer at this stage; I simply water, adding BioEnhancer once every two weeks. The microbes and organic matter in the soil do the rest.

The plant are going good, its just looks like she's getting a small carence in phosphorus, propably due on the bit too cold condition on the night for the roots
I switch for an more powerfull lamp with 300W max but I put it at 75% of capacity or its getting too hot for my room.

Hou_Stone As you can see in some of the photos, my tent is a bit of a wild jungle. I've let my plants develop too many secondary branches and allowed them to grow too long for my small space. It's not a disaster, but it will definitely impact the harvest, resulting in smaller buds.

Hou_Stone Last week of bloom,
After watering the last weeks whith only water I have let the soil getting more dry and after 57 day of flowering i cut this ztrawberry and will let her dry in the same tente where she grow. See you soon for the harvest report!
Have a good day everybody! 🌞
Hou_Stone I let the plants dry in the grow tent, lights off, without a fan to start a slow drying process of 2-3 weeks. Then came the most boring part of the grow for me, the manicure. Once the manicure is done, I'll let my buds cure in bags.
