The 3 other Ogreberrys began flush on Monday so finish out this week of flush and one more week of flush after that an they will get the chop too! 4202024 or backwards, it’s 4202024. I’m sure there will be other palindromic dates in future, but this is the one and only stoner palindrome date that can happen in our lifetimes. Thanks to Seedsman for the idea of a 420 grow-off and the chance to try some of the latest and greatest. Anyway, started some Blueberry Pie F1 Fast seeds from Seedsman today. Very promising sounding genetics, and I’m very keen to see how she goes. Hopefully we won’t get as much wildfire smoke as we did last year. The plan for this plant is a 16 cola manifold with force flowering (12 h darkness) starting in late July for a couple of weeks. Starting in a glass of water on a heat mat at 25 C. Kept in dark using foil. I’ve decided to avoid plastic for the seed starting. Also, based on a science paper I saw this winter, I’m leaving a ripe apple in the dark with the seeds. Apparently the ethylene gas helps, but only in the dark before light is applied. Tried it with tomato and pepper plants and seems to work. First time trying with my cannabis seeds. Will add the reference to the paper some day. Apr 22: moved into soil. Starting three seeds but I only have room for one plant. Will adopt out the other two. Apr 25: removed foil cover (and apple) and set the plants beside the light that is going for tomatoes and peppers. The seedlings need minimal light at this stage so taking it easy. 5/11 - 5/17: I topped a couple shoots early in the week and have her in full LST submission..sprawling nicely.👌 I watered her once really well at the start of the week with endoboost, humic acid, silica, cal-mag, molasses, and big bloom...and a little bit of grow big. I foliar fed with boom boom spray one day, and a solution of fulvic acid, cal-mag, big bloom, sweet & sticky, and silica a few days. It rained really heavy on the night of the 15th, so I won't be watering again anytime soon. I topped another of her shoots on the 14th and about an hour later, I realized that I should have taken it as a cutting..I'll have enough soil for a few plants in 3 gallon pots, and from what everybody says, I'd be very happy with some more jars of #5. I spent all 3 seeds to grow this one plant, so I'll try rooting some clones of her soon...👈 This week I received my new portable outdoor misting fan and hoses and got it set up on a timer with just airflow while the lights are on, and once the temps reach about 95f regularly, I'll have my hose timer let 10 minutes of water every 2 hours get misted across the canopy. It should lower the "real feel" by about 25-30 degrees and increase RH considerably. Also hoping that the constant airflow will make them stronger and keep insects off of them somewhat. It will also enable me to easily give them a blow dry if it rains in late flower. But wait...that's not all....it's also gonna be very much more enjoyable for me to sit in the garden and do my thang. 👍

Starting week 6 Tent is being slowly full A little bit too hot for the next days as the weather outside will climb to 36-38°C, I thnk I will bring them some CO2. I will check with the growshop. Any idea is welcome. The stretch is really impressive, 1 of them get 20cm in 7 days Waiting for the buds 😁 Day 39 I have now added CO2 with an organic boost, it is linked it to the fan. Should be a little bit better with that temperature

Day 84 After a couple heavy flushes these babies are done. They’re just going to spend a couple days in the cool dark tent to finish. These Fast Buds Pineapple Express all have different characteristics. One is super frosty and small with less dense buds. One has hard big dense buds with good trichomes and one kinda n between. They all have a sweet tropical citrus smell that smells super good. With these, the blue Dream and the Super lemon haze all done the smell in the house is too much to be contained and scrubbed…..

The plant has continued the stretch this week and the first flowers and trichomes have appeared :) The weather is still very sunny and hot but the plant looks good!

Aug 16: Mimosa Shot is progressing but it has been cool and rainy lately. There are indications of P deficiency because of the cool weather. The top dressing of malted barley and Power Bloom will do its thing so I’m not worried about it. Hoping for more direct sunlight though. Aug 18: video shows use of far red light at dusk. To keep on a natural schedule, I use Civil Twilight as listed on timeanddate.com for my location. At this time of year it is getting earlier by 2-3 minutes every night. The far red 730 nm light puts the plant into dark mode two hours faster and is like getting a 26 h day. It works and is a good trick if you have daily access to your plants.

Upgraded to a Spider Farmer se5000 rail light. After just a few days I notice the difference. I highly recommend this light . I choose to keep the the driver outside the tent. The plants are all doing great with some small buds showing up.
