Blue Shark is looking fab! Still a darker green than everyone else. There are 2 videos this week, one where I explain how my plan for a tomato roof using materials I already had didn't work out, and the 2nd being about the rogue who grew in my pea bed (whom I affectionately call "Rogue One") who has been raised almost exclusively on my homemade compost. I had people who were concerned last year when I made my own compost tea from the compost in my pile. People were concerned about bacteria, nutrient profile, etc. I feel like a lot of people get really regimented in their feeding, and they sort of forget that these are plants and they can adapt. They take what they need if it's available. I moved away from using mineral salts this year because you have to be careful with so many of these fertilizers so that you don't burn the plant, you have to flush it so you don't get a harsh smoke, mineral salts causing lockout, etc. If you stick with products that are natural you don't really have to worry about nute burn. You don't have to flush for an extended period of time before harvest. You don't have salts building up in the soil that are detrimental that you have to periodically flush and then add beneficial microbes back in. There is another way.

Destiny has given me a wonderful climate so far but from the 18th the weather will change completely, precisely in the last 10 days of flowering which fortunately is very accelerated by the anomalous heat, especially at night. Typical late summer weather here, kinda for weed. First storm is expected on Saturday, I'm ready to protect them. I've made the last rearrangement of the tent, trying to give more room to the vigorous and overflowing Pineapple Kush so I've rised the roof to 110". The plants are all carefully sprayed with thyme extract to control mites infection, it seems to work, infection is stable from 1 week. I kill manually 20/30 bedbugs a day. During nighttime, maybe a monster grasshopper, is munching some leaves, at this point I don't care, I have to defoliate anyway and these bastards don't chew buds, for now. Buds are filling very well, super sticky and frosty but looking at sister's buds is clear that Royal Gorilla will not produce giant buds (except the twin buds) . Strong citron/berry scent. I have to be very careful not to touch her because she is sticky like a fly trap and not to shake her because the smell can be heard from 100 meters away. Expected harvest September 3rd/4th week. Plant is looking good, budds are getting bigger and give sweet sweet aroma. I have not changed much for last 3 weeks, defolation here there only.

11-Nov: Topped up the soil with 15ml of Gaia Green All Purpose 4 4 4. 13-Nov: Trimmed leaves that weren't getting any light

Day 77 I'm running out of vertical space for pinus contorta, this weekend i will open the box to move the leds higher and will try to do some decent photos. At this point i've added the Pinus purple matcha to the diary because she's huge and impossible to not notice, should be around 1,5m² almost 150cm tall. Had to do a very risky move and "soft crop" 2 apicals because of burn risk, too close to the leds. I wasn't expeting a freakin' tree like that!

Day 48 - 11/11/19 started this week early by accident. Plant smells like tropical cheese and i cant see the stalk anymore except from the leaves, very bushy and seems to be in a mid stage of flowering. buds are getting bigger by the looks of it. very sticky also! Ive been removing about 2 leaves per day from this one, started with a couple touching the soil and removed a few higher ones today to expose the buds to more light and fresh air. when looking at this plant side on the main cola looks huge and growing more every day. im assuming this is about 2 weeks away from harvest so il probs flush next week. roll on harvest time! other than that the humidity has went up to 50-55 the odd time when watering all the plants. it doesnt stay high long with the heat from the lights so it should be fine. Day 51 - 14/11/19 Still removing the odd couple of leaves every day to let the fresh air get near the main cola, i still cant see it very well but it looks like what a 6-7g bud looks like when its dried aha. the smell can be described as if someone took a cheese strain and added something powerful and herbal/tropical to it. cant wait to order my jewelers loupe in a few days to see where im really at :) and i added a video to show the plant looking all frosty. a few weeks to go now!

Day 29 29/07/24 Monday Nice feeding today with De-chlorinated tap water pH 6. Gave her 300 ml and she had a small run off. Getting chunky in the stem now 💪💚 Day 31 31/07/24 Wednesday De-chlorinated water pH 6 today with Plagron pk13-14 5ml to 5L Plagron power buds 5ml to 5L Used 300ml of the 5L solution. I will be using these on water days from now on as they are advised to be used every irrigation. We'll see how they perform 💪💚 Day 32 01/08/24 Thursday Another feed today using de-chlorinated tap water pH 6, there now taking 300ml every evening. Day 35 04/08/24 Sunday END OF WEEK 😁 De-chlorinated tap water pH 6 today with Plagron products. 300ml each. Had a issue with leaf invaders this week, I have treated and am checking every 48 hrs so far seems ok and not progressive. All plants look great, very healthy, one of the Overdose is way behind and due to space maybe culled at flower I'll see how she gets on.
