Dec 20th Update -- added a picture of some dried nugs along with a few macros of those buds. I already know what the smoke report will be as this is third time harvesting this strain but will let the process play out.
---------------
This is the third harvest with this plant... old news, you could say. This was an aborted fem-breeding project in a 1-gallon pot. There were 3 PG plants. One pheno caught a cold from adjacent GS, but luckily it was a very tiny thing and no weight loss.. maybe 7-10 grams lost. A GS4 failed to produce pollen sacs. Fortuitous, as the GS genetics were extremely prone to microbial issues or systemically infected, either way. One of the grows invovled all new equipment and a new area.
PG is fairly resistant to microbes. All three grows have exposed this plant to other weak plants that cannot fight off an iota of an infection. A couple of the PG phenos (10-pak with a few failed seeds - drastic tap water ph-change debacle cost me $160 not restricted to PG, LoL) were not as strong as the others, but it was minor, and it was easily removed/trated and no major contamination occured with the buds nor a visibly lingering problem.
If you buy 5 or 10 of these, you will find a frost monster. I feel pretty confident in that statement. The others will be excessively frosty too. Even those are frostier than most of what i have grown in 3 years. A couple phenos weren't as pretty, but i would bet anyone would be happy with this strain, in general.
Has an okay smell, but no distinct taste on inhale nor exhale.
Yield is moderate. You won't get donks, but it is solid bud deep into canopy.
Fairly easy trimming. The plant takes on red and purple hues. The petioles stand out. Expect your scissors to sieze up even if just using tip.
These and second run came out denser than the first run. First run was just under 9 weeks, 2nd run was roughly 8 weeks. This one stopped drinking after 45 or 46 nights. By day 49 i was worried it would rot on the plant, so i harvested it after 7 weeks. I am going to assume that because it was a much smaller plant and a much older plant, that it simply finished faster. It is similar to 2nd run. First run started to lose density in nugs as i let it run a week longer, give or take. But, i got a lot more of the purple tones in the buds -- see "Platinum Gelato I" diary. I have a picture of some buds i broke up and ready to roll. In a couple weeks the dry nugs i post hear may not be as dark -- i suspect. You can see it in the sugar leavs pic above, but didn't give time for it to spread out as much in the plant material.
In a couple weeks i'll be back to post some dried nug pictures. You don't have to wait for as moke report. There are 2 existing in my diaries right now, but i'll repeat the info when it is verified. This plant has been a champ regardless of seed or clone with consistent and repeatable results.

I've got (4) FC-4800 MarsHydro LED powered diaries about to enter bloom phase, too, if you want to check out how that equipment works. So, almost out of the boring phase.
