3/16 324AM PRETTY GOOD ⚡️ 3/16 2:41PM nside the Genetics: How Ice-T & Montel’s Strain Was Born Seedsman Seeds https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5eMAVat60M 3/19 330AM 👨‍🔬⚡️**Adding L-Proline (the amino acid supplement growers use) to plants on soft water can provide some helpful support against the stresses you're dealing with, but it's not a full fix—think of it as a stress-buffer rather than a mineral replacement.** Soft water (low in calcium and magnesium) often triggers **Ca/Mg deficiencies** in bloom stage (especially with Cha Ching or MaxiBloom, which don't supply much Ca/Mg on their own). This leads to issues like tip burn, leaf curl, weak cell walls, nutrient lockouts, oxidative damage (ROS buildup), and overall plant stress that feels like "the plant is struggling to hold it together." Proline steps in here as an **osmoprotectant**—it's one of the compounds plants naturally ramp up under stress. ### What Proline Actually Does in This Situation - **Helps with osmotic/water balance** — Soft water can disrupt turgor pressure and water movement inside cells (similar to mild drought or salinity stress). Proline stabilizes cell membranes and helps the plant retain water better, reducing wilting or limpness. - **Reduces oxidative stress** — Ca/Mg shortages cause free radical damage. Proline acts as an antioxidant and protects proteins/enzymes, so deficiency symptoms (yellowing, spotting, slowed bud development) don't spiral as fast. - **Improves overall resilience** — In cannabis and general hydro/soil grows, L-proline (or full amino acid mixes containing it) has been shown to boost stress tolerance, speed recovery, and even support better nutrient uptake indirectly. Studies and grower reports note it helps under nutrient imbalance, drought-like conditions, and environmental swings—exactly the secondary stresses soft water creates. - **Bloom-stage bonus** — Since you're already in late flower with Cha Ching/MaxiBloom, proline can support resin/terpene production and bud density without pushing excessive veg growth. It won't magically add the missing Ca or Mg (those are still critical—soft water + high-P bloom nutes often screams for CalMag), but it can make the plant more tolerant while you correct the root issue. ### How Much Effect to Expect Right Now - **Positive but moderate** — Many hydro/RO growers add amino acids (including proline) specifically for soft water setups and report less burn, better leaf health, and stronger finishes. It won't turn a severe deficiency around overnight, but it can slow the damage and give your plants a fighting chance in the final weeks. - **No downside at proper doses** — It's very safe and plants use it quickly. ### How to Add It (Practical Dosing) - **Source**: Pure L-Proline powder (available cheap online—make sure it's the plant-grade L-form, not human supplements). - **Root feed** (with your Cha Ching/MaxiBloom): Start at 0.5–1 g per gallon (about 100–200 ppm). Mix into your res or feed water once a week. pH as normal. - **Foliar spray** (often more effective for quick stress relief): 0.25–0.5 g per gallon + a drop of surfactant. Spray lightly every 5–7 days in the dark period. - **With your current nutes**: Yes, it layers fine—reduce if you see any tip burn. Many run it alongside MaxiBloom + Cha Ching in soft water without issues. - **Best timing**: Now through harvest is perfect, especially if you're noticing stress signs already. **Real talk**: The biggest win will still come from adding a proper CalMag supplement (like Botanicare or General Hydro's) at 0.5–1 ml/gal or whatever your PPM tests call for. Proline + CalMag together is a strong combo for soft water grows. If you're running pure RO/soft, most experienced growers treat this as standard. 3/19 445am BKO Blueberry KnockOut!! (Gelato 44 by RQS & Bubbles Blueberry F4 by Grimm Brothers Seeds) my own creation!!👨‍🔬 A spoonful of butter helps the sugar go down, Im helping. 3/19 10:42PM mmm butter and sugar are just a few ingredients shy of cookie dough, good enough. Now ICE-T BODYCOUNT Grows efficiently in a one gallon with very little effort No real LST, lower than normal lighting, so cheaper to grow. MONTEL: growing great in such a small container!! Should have topped, she is tall. Colors are coming in now, very strong also growing great at low watt so very efficient as well!!! 3/21 1:38PM https://www.stonedgenie.com/collections/cool-bongs?&sort_by=price-descending This hits like a hand pipe, the chambers are just the right size its just the best..I put on a silicone funnel I tore apart for a dental guard. dont smoke from metal or glass directly.

Recovery at its finest, that's what you will see on week 4 around here! Guess who's loving the CO2 with high temperature? Thats right, all plants are! The comparison of last week with this week have such a difference, on day 24 I introduced a DIY CO2 bottle, the recipe consist in: -CO2- 2 cups of sugar 1 tablespoon of yeast 1 tablespoon of baking soda 1 later of warm water Mix all ingredients on a bottle, make a nail hole on the cap shake a little (when shaking put your finger on the nail hole, you should hear a hissssss when you release the hole) use it when lights are on, increase temperature to 30-35C, watch for high levels of humidity, and voila! Any other details you want to know ask way :) I haven't started any LST yet, I am waiting for a bit more growth to start bending, I have to make sure all 5 plants will have enough space inside this 2x4 tent. All suggestions are welcomed :) Thats is for now, Stay Lit folks!

Week 2 Report: The White OG - The Solo Survivor Shines 🌟 She may be the solo survivor, but The White OG is already proving she’s a beauty in the making! With her third set of leaves emerging, she’s entering Week 2 of veg and starting to find her stride. This week has been all about supporting her early growth with balanced nutrition, a perfect environment, and plenty of love. Let’s dive into why Week 2 is such a game-changer and how the Aptus Holland line is setting her up for success. Why Week 2 Veg Is Vital 🌱 This is a pivotal time for any grow. The foundation laid in Week 2 determines how well your plant will perform later. It’s about encouraging root development, strengthening the stem, and building the resilience she’ll need for the big stages ahead. The third set of leaves is a sign that she’s transitioning from her seedling phase into a true vegging plant, which means she’s ready for a little extra care in the form of feeding. Feeding with Aptus Holland: A Total Game-Changer This week, I introduced the Aptus Holland organic-mineral line, and wow—this stuff is incredible! It combines the best of organic and mineral worlds for balanced, healthy growth. What’s Organic-Mineral Nutrition? • Organic Benefits: Enriches microbial health and enhances soil vitality, building a strong biological base. • Mineral Benefits: Offers immediate, direct nutrient uptake for steady, balanced growth. • Why It’s Awesome: Plants get the best of both worlds, growing stronger, healthier, and more resilient. This Week’s Feeding Schedule • Regulator (0.15 ml/L): A silica-based product that toughens plant structure, helps manage stress, and boosts nutrient uptake. Think of it as your plant’s personal trainer—keeping her sturdy and stress-free. 🌟 Why It Matters: Stronger stems = better support for future growth. • CalMag Boost (0.25 ml/L): Essential for developing robust cell walls and producing lush chlorophyll. Calcium and magnesium are like the bricks and mortar of your plant’s structure. 🌟 Why It Matters: Ensures vibrant, lush leaves and steady early growth. • All-in-One Liquid (1 ml/L): A perfectly balanced nutrient blend that provides everything she needs in one feed. Ideal for ensuring no deficiencies as she picks up the pace. 🌟 Why It Matters: Simplifies feeding while delivering complete nutrition. • Start Booster (0.25 ml/L): Packed with root-stimulating microbes and essential nutrients, this is the secret weapon for explosive root growth. 🌟 Why It Matters: Strong roots = a stronger plant overall. She’s ready to soar! Tent Conditions: Consistency Is Key The tent setup remains steady, providing the ideal environment for healthy growth: • Temperature: Warm and stable—perfect for vigorous vegetative growth. • Humidity: High RH ensures tropical vibes and keeps her roots hydrated as she develops her third set of leaves. • Lighting: The Future of Grow (FOG) LED at 200 PPFD delivers just the right intensity to keep her compact and growing strong. Why Aptus Holland? I’ve been a true believer in Aptus long before any sponsorship—it’s a brand that builds strong, healthy plants from the ground up. Their organic-mineral approach gives your plants the resilience and energy they need to thrive. The results speak for themselves: happy plants, lush growth, and vibrant health at every stage. It’s a system I trust completely. 🌱💪 Shoutouts and Community Love 🌟 Massive love to everyone making this journey possible: Breeders, LED brands like Future of Grow, and, of course, all the amazing growers and followers here on Grow Diaries. 🌱 Don’t forget to check out more updates on IG and YouTube (links in profile). It's officially week 4 of veg. What a ride! These ladies DO NOT give up and neither did i. Second grow, it is a learning curve. With all the growth stunned, i am a bit impatient. BUT the good news is the smallest have starting growing again. Anyways... 👽👉19/9 New automation program for this week. (See pictures for app screenshots for automation and datalogger) Temps - 21night/29day RH% - 60RH night / 68RH day My plan is to decrease the humidity at night, to increase the vpd. The same goes for my light output and nutrients. Changing the variables gradually over time. 👽👉20/9 I topped two more plants. The growth is gradually getting better. They should be ready for their first real feed tomorrow. (Only top fed them last watering) 👽👉21/9 ** First real feed. -They reacted well to a last lose dose top feeding, so this time i will give them a full feed, but same low dose. -Programmed new automation based on VPD Graf (see pictures) Set to 1.0 VPD. // Inkbird app, i am adjusting the RH% to the temp in the tent. -Did some experimental LST on one of the smaller ones. Dont have a co2 meter, but have co2 bag. But it has not been added as a variable to the climate calculations. 👽👉22/9 The new automation program has proven efficient and working(for now). Now its interesting to see the plants adapting the constant VPD. 👽👉23/9 Did some more LST work to keep the tallest ladies at level. 👽👉24/9 Visiting the ladies and checking up on the lst work. Tucking in leaves, plotting my next move. *Water day. they shared 5 Liter, where the bigger ones got more. PH 6.4 - EC 1.52 (Last water was PH 6.4 - EC 1.37) 1.5ml/L Bio heaven+Bio fish. (Next time they will get 2ml/L) 👽👉25/9 Turned up the lights from 75% to 100%. Temps are about to rise higher. might as well let the ladies get used to it.

Hey GD! Harvested two off the four. I haven't weighed it yet but I predict about 2 ounce off each. The skiny bud plant really surprised me! The buds are potent and pretty with the purple hues. This strain is potent enough for you not to realise its an auto flower. The other two are coming down over the next week. The super main only first then the supercrop every branch plant. I have to say my trouble plant that I abused has really come along. I'm proud of her. Her buds are diesel buds there sparkly and smell just right. The super crop on main only plant has developed seriously dense Flowers not a spot of mold! Ambering up alot. She has taken on a smell of them yellow melons, its incredible! Really unique. In fact each plant out of this pack of 5 has had its own characteristics, its been a pleasure discovering the phenotypes and I advise anyone grow at least two of the same strain because you never know how they might turn out haha! Final week next week! Update: got just over 100g dry off the two that hadn't been trained. Just made some cannabutter off the trim check out the pics!

The plant took off this week. I am relatively new so was working through getting my PH measuring/balancing down. Now that I have established a better method the plant responded well. Put in a scrog to help even the canopy for the future. The other plant I have running is a bubblegum autoflower that is a few weeks older (right). Personally I really loved the look of the gold leaf at this point, it had a very nice spiral look to it almost like an xmas wreath.

Well, this week has been iffy! I have to make a correction...the lights I used before were my headlights, documented in my previous grow. It seems the green lights kept my plants in veg. I have since removed them and continued forward as scheduled. We'll see what happens from here. If they correct, I'll have a mess on my hands and a lesson learned, lol. Happy Growing Everyone ✌️❤️😁🍀🎶👽 EB
