Theobroma Cacao. New seedling that needs the warmth + humidity. Hopefully surviving winter. Day46: I decided to take some zoomed in stills of her. To show off her beauty. The purpling of the branches really make this lady something special. In some of the shots it might look like her leaves are yellowing, but it's just the angle of the light. You can see on the photo that I took from the top, that all leaves are a healthy dark green. At least I now have proof that she's a lady. She's short and stubby, but I'm not really growing for amount. I just neeed 50g, after all (hehe) Day47: She grew like a demon overnight. I'll check the height tomorrow.

wish i got that ph tester sooner lol massive difference!! The flowers are coming on very nicely, I am confident alot of my issues in the past were from my ph being off. Cant wait to see the flowers this harvest. Not much to report back on other than that. co2 is going with the homemade mix from my previous diaries. should see some really nice flowers by next week!

Pheno hunt is rolling along smoothly. Gave the plants their first feeding. Top dressed with coast of Maine lobster compost cut with Stonington blend to give a little aeration. 3:1 ratio coast of Maine plant food 5:2:4. Roughly 1 tbsp per pot. Mixed in with compost and soil and scratched into top 4 inches Watered in with a blend of Neptune harvest liquid fertilizer in ratio 1:2:1 (npk) watered down to 1tsp/gal in this order: Fish: Crab: Kelp The ZB is definitely a shorter stockier plant with short internodal spacing. Originated from very tiny seeds which might explain the smaller plant form at the start. Once it puts in some biomass it might pick up the speed. HP seems to like to stretch a little more. Growing like crazy Rainbow belts looking like the model freak of nature that it is. Near perfect. 18hrs post feed/ top dress and the plants are recovering beautifully. Liquid fertilizer is not ideal as it's expensive and you're paying a lot for water. But for my grow it's very necessary to lower solution pH into something acceptable. Next week I'm hoping to harvest some young plants in a nearby forest to create a brown sugar fermented plant juice in order to get away from the high nutrition of emulsions. Update day 19 Seems that ZB HATES having it's roots dry. Really needs to be watered almost daily to keep it happy. Strange

Besides the top coals getting heat stress it was a good week :) Raised the nutrients levels this week to 10ml each except for MagnifiCal. Midway through flower they don't require these nutrients thus you'll begin to see the colour changes in the leaves. Was completely out of room to raise the lights which resulted in doing some emergency supercropping. A bit late in flowering to be performing this technique but their was no other option Some light defoliation throughout the week. Don't want bud site to be covered

Not a lot to update the seedlings have came up out the soil at this point they are still to small to tell any visible differences. I started all the seeds from all 10 packs and and I put 26 of them in soil I now have about 20 of them left I still have atleast one left if every strain. I just kept the 20 plants that all started off at the same time it’s so much easier when there is not some plants behind from the rip. In a few days I will pick out the best one from each of the 10 strains and toss the rest so sad there is a plant count here.

Runtz Punch has been still giving me issues with the spotting. So I neem oil treated her 4 days ago. It looks like it stopped or slowed down. With the nitrogen toxicity she has been showing I was kinda afraid to do it. It tends to boost the nitrogen when sprayed. I did look for pest under 100 x magnification. I didn't see anything. Regardless, hopefully it is resolved. I might just treat the whole room here to be safe then sorry mid flowering. Beside that everything is still growing and making progress. Week 12 Flower 8 Pink Rozay This week was all about checking trichomes. Pink Rozay trichomes show mostly milk and amber. There are a few heads that are dark brown that indicate too late to harvest. The older pistils are turning orange brown and water consumption is slowing down. These and the trichome indicators indicate readiness. Based on this, I put Pink Rozay in the cool garage with low light and ice on top of the pot at night this week. Hello growers and tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 There has been a couple changes this week!! First there was a big defoliation done, I cleaned the bottom of the plant. All the growth that wouldn't amount to anything because the light doesn't penetrate that low. Also took off the biggest fan leaves to give more light penetration. Then finally switched to 12/12.. Just 36 hours after the defoliation she looked fuller than before. Leaves pointing up and out. By how she's doing I'm sure she'll stretch a good bit these next few weeks. Great reaction to the defoliation. I'm still watering every other day, After the defoliation I watered with only Enzymes 2ml/L to clean the roots a bit then started with the nutrientes again. I dropped the amount of grow nutrients from 3ml/L to 1ml/L and started adding bloom nutrientes 2ml/L for now. I'll slowly be upping the bloom nutrientes and after week 2 I'll no longer add grow nutrients. That's it for this week. Stay tuned to see how she flowers. Stay safe!

Coming into the home stretch here. I've been flushing for a week, going to give her one more good watering then plan on harvesting this weekend. I still don't see any amber trichomes, but I don't want the dying leaves to cause any bud rot, so amber or not she's coming down this weekend. The smell is super STRONG!!!👍

Mar 26 Fed a gallon of RAW GROW: about 15ml worth of nutrients. Continuing the LST. Mar 27 Going to have to look back into defoliation techniques here soon. She's like a forest under that canopy!
