I’m baaaaack!!! Sorry I’ve been away for a while. I’ve been busy getting everything together for the next phase… Welcome to the Dude Garden 2.0! I now have 3 grow areas. Two 2x4 tents (one for clone/veg, another for mothers) and a large 10x12’ish flowering area (its actually larger than that, but I’ll be conservative). The tents are running 300w LED’s and a T5 for the cloning/sprouting station. The flowering area has a 1000w HPS!!! I’m totally psyched to see how the HPS does with flowering for me. From all the research I’ve done It seems to still be undisputed that HPS is the best for flowering (but not so good on the electric bill). I moved all plants from the tents to the new flowering area under HPS. That includes 3 Blackberry’s (FastBuds), NYC Diesel Auto (Barney’s Farm), DinaMed+ and Critical+ (DinaFem), Cream & Cheese CBD (Seedsman) and 3 Cherry Hemp (Elevator Supply Co). With the autos You’ll see the first 2 Blackberry’s are getting close to harvest, but looking a bit funky due to the issues they had early on as seedlings. The 3rd is looking much better and will probably yield more than the first 2 combined. I do love the purple and the aroma is insane. The NYC Diesel Auto is looking very nice, the main cola is developing nicely and has great colors. With the photoperiod plants, most are already kind of big considering they haven’t flipped to flower yet. I’m expecting the stretch to kick in at any time for these girls. I hope they don’t break the roof. The Dinafem plants are looking best so far at this stage IMO, but the Cream & Cheese CBD is looking very nice too. And I’m not disappointed at all with the Cherry Hemp plants, one is several weeks older than the other two, but the smaller two have a great node structure. It should be very interesting to see how these 3 grow from here. I expect the older one to be the largest at harvest, but the 2 little girls look ready to explode. We’ll see what happens. I transplanted the photos from the 3 gallon grow bags to 7 gallon fabric pots. And also purchased some Pot Elevators that they are sitting on. The Plant Elevators are pretty cool, they have a mesh base to allow better drainage and air flow to the bottom of the pots. I have clones of all of the photos cut and planted in Jiffy pellets in a humidity dome. I took 3 clones of each. The strongest clones will become mothers, the others will be grown out. Note: The HPS gives much more of a yellow wash on the pics than I was expecting. I tried to color correct the pics the best I could and tried to get to the real colors, It should be pretty close.

With the majority of trichomes now turned milky with some turning Amber, i have decided to begin a 10 day flush using nothing but ph balanced water. Doing a shorter than normal flush as the plants with deficiencies don't have much nutes to use up.

Ztrawberriez auto is growing great in the perlite. She is progressing more into flower and getting her stretch on. Day 36: Girls looking pretty happy. Still some discoloration going on. Doesn't look to be spreading though. Day 37: Ok, the girls obviously were not happy this morning. I watered with quite a good amount of runoff and measure the PPM at 3200!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm surprised they are still alive! Had to make a quick run to get some water for a flush as I only have 5 gallons worth. Ran 2 gallons through each of them at a ph of 6.4 around 9:30 this morning. It's now 5pm and they have pulled through great. These OG Kush are extremely resilient. Day 38: The girls look way better today after flushing yesterday. Two of the pots were almost completely dry already. Went ahead and fed at 500ppm with runoff. Day 39: I think it's dialed in now. They are looking amazing and still stretching pretty good. Went ahead and pulled off a handful of leaves between the 5 of em. Day 40: Did a little more defoliation and opened them up a bit. I am super worried about getting any type of mold or any issues in particular for this first round. One of the girls needs a touch more but ran out of time. Girls are looking super healthy! 💪 Day 41: They are looking super awesome. Got the runoff dialed in. 750 going in and roughly 800 coming out. May up it in a week or so. Day 42: Nothing new to update. Girls still looking amazing. I think the stretch may be slowing just a tad.

Feb 22 Really starting to thicken up! The soil underneath is still plenty moist even though the fan is blowing on it 24 hours a day. The roots will grow more quickly as the water dries up and the roots continue their search for more.

I've been waiting for at least some trichomes to turn amber. I prefer to harvest when there are at least a few amber. I took the PL2 3 days before the PL1. Flushed them for a week only

We haven't had any pests for so many years and all of a sudden we have such little shit parts 😅. This week it was poured twice with 1.2 l of water. GHSC enhancer was added during a pouring (1 g per l) The tent was cleaned every day this week and the plants were checked for health. The humidifier is filled once a day. Todo esta semana salió mal, primero se me descalibró el medidor de ec, el tanque de agua estaba a más de 3 ec, lo bueno es que me di cuenta rápido y apenas se mostró excesos en la planta. Hoy se me callo el foco lec encima de esta dañando 2 ramas. No fue mucho pero si que lo notara y espero que el lec esté nuevo . Demasiado bien iba este cultivo jj

Day 49-56 (Day 50) I hooked up my carbon filter to the humidity controller and it is keeping the room exactly at 65-70% RH night and day. It looks like it turns on about every 45 minutes for about 5 minutes so it allows me to run the co2 bag properly. I don’t even have to use my dehumidifier. The room is 100% dark now too. Even the small red lights on the space heaters. Not going to feed anything other than foliars this week. (Day 51) Blackberry #4 & #8 #9 and white widows #2 & #3 are all confirmed males. Chopped them down and recycled the soil. White widow #1 is the first official female and I’m starting to see pistils on the m39/zkittlez too. Plants seem to be responding to the light fairly well. It’s hung 32 inches above the canopy which is as high as it can go without strapping it to the roof, which may have to happen one day. The plant can get within 6 inches of the light so I’m probably good. The ppfd output is 1800umols which is super high so I want to hang them as high as possible in veg. I wish I could rent a ppfd meter to see if I’m in range at 32”. (Day 52) Blackberry breath #3 is the first official bbb female to show. I decided to scrap BCTG #2. It sounded like a good strain but after looking at pictures of people who have grown it online, it doesn’t look up to my standards. I found a very small patch of powdery mildew on one of the leaves so I’m not even going to start with that shit again. I’m really thinking about scrapping the m39/zkittlez and the white widow too. I’m praying that I get at least 4 females of BBB. I tried super cropping for the first time today. A few of the branches I definitely squished a bit too much as they turned quite brown and looked dead within a day. (Day 53) Despite the m39/zkittlez vigorous growth, I know it will be a shitty strain that will most likely herm as it’s from a bag seed of low grade weed. I’ve decided instead of scrapping it, I will use it for experimenting with a new chemical powdery mildew preventative. If it dies oh well. I doused it and chopped a limb off a few hours ago during lights on and it seems fine. (Day 54) I’m about 90% sure BBB 6&7 are both female. #2 & #5 are looking like males but too early too tell. #1 is really tough to say. Just gotta be patient I guess. #3 has a great spread out structure, I hope it doesn’t stretch too much. The scrogging is a priority. I put up the scrog net just to see how it fits. It’s a little small around the edges but that’s fine. So it’s looking like out the 9, I would be lucky to get 4 fems if #1 & 7 would show forsure already. If #1 is a female I have my 4 and I can throw out the white widow. The white widow is just insurance at this point. Super cropped plants have recovered nicely. Going to continue doing this more. I’ve noticed that the plants that were put into my custom soil mix have very small fan leaves compared to the fabric pots of straight promix and dry amendments. Could also be the fabric pot is helping dry downs too. (Day 56) I’m seeing some yellowing so I’m going to give a foliar spray just too keep some deficiencies at bay. All of the plants are stunted except the m39 and bbb#3. Node spacing has also reduced significantly. I can’t help but feel it’s from the intensity of my lights but maybe they just need a transplant into some new soil something. Luckily the stunt and droop is only really happening to what I suspect are male plants anyway. Leaves are looking twisted and gnarled on #5. Going to move it into the veg tent for a while. I’m going to mix up and amend my Destiny/coco blend today and transplant bbb#3 and 6 & 7 in a few days. I mixed them up in contractor bags making sure to toss and turn vigorously. Here is my blend: 2 bags 40L Destiny soil 2 bags 40L coco 700ml glacial rock dust 700ml oyster shell flour 700ml nature’s pride bloom 300ml basalt rock dust 150ml langbeinite 150ml nature’s pride veg I am also going to try the Destiny top dress as it’s only 13 bucks a bag and full of good shit. I’m trying to not feed heavy in flower other than 2 or 3 top dresses and 2 teas and nothing after week 5. Because it’s taken so long for the plants to show sex, when I transplant into the 10 gallon pots, they should have more than enough nutrients too keep them going strong all the way through flower with just water. I’m a little skeptical about that though. Besides teas and dressings are fun. Everything should be broken down by week 8 or so. Will transplant in a few days.
