Week 11 Veg - Mentha de Croco Mutants Hello, Grow Diaries fam! 🌱✨ This week’s update is all about setting up for the big transition—we’re finally flipping these beauties into flower! But before we do, I took some important steps to ensure a smooth transition. Defoliation & Why It Matters Before Flower Before the flip, I gave them a thorough defoliation, clearing out lower and overcrowded leaves. Why? Because: More Light Penetration – Helps lower bud sites develop properly. Better Airflow – Reduces humidity buildup and risk of mold. Focused Energy – Encourages the plant to put energy into strong bud production instead of unnecessary foliage. Of course, balance is key—I trimmed enough to open things up but left plenty for healthy growth. Final Pre-Flip Routine • Temps & RH: Holding steady at 22°C with 66% RH, keeping conditions ideal before flower. • 💧 Nutrients: Running the Aptus Holland Clean Feeding Approach with: • Regulator for plant resilience. • RO Water Conditioner to balance pH and improve uptake. • System Clean, even though I’m not using a hydro system, to keep the root zone optimal. • All-in-One Liquid, which is now the primary nutrient source. • 🔄 Watering: Still bottom-watering to keep gnats away and encourage strong root growth. 36-48 Hours of Darkness Before the Flip Before switching the room to 11 hours of light and 13 hours of darkness, I’ll be giving them a 36-48 hour dark period. This technique helps signal the plants that it’s time to transition, leading to a faster and stronger flower initiation. This week has yielded positive results from the FIM And LST. I topped the internodal new branching that grew from the FIM job as well this week and the 2 extra tops are growing in response on each branching. She is now under a 4 bulb vivosun T5 6500K fixture and is responding very well to the light changes. Her stems are begging to give off terpines when rubbed. She smells of tart sweet lemons and diesel fuel haha. I am very happy about this grow and am expecting preflower to begin soon.

This plant early entered to flowering stage in week 3. Other is nothing special. Thanks.

🗓️ WEEK 3 (veg) 💧 Her water uptake increased noticeably (about 1 LT/day), and the new leaves exhibit a perfect, healthy color. Due to this increased demand, I raised the EC to 1 to ensure she receives adequate nutrients. 🌱 The difference in growth between the start and end of this week is significant. The plant continues to stay quite short and compact, which I don't mind at all, especially considering the space limitations experienced during my last run. Naturally, this time, both the environmental conditions and the genetics are entirely different. Similar to last week, I concluded the week by removing a few of the lower leaves growing too close to the substrate. This week, I set the light power to 100 watts, keeping the same distance.

Hello everyone. Another week has come to an end, and for two weeks, we have been watering our girl with plain water pH 6.2 TDS 120 ppm. I think next week we will finish our journey. I want to experiment - 2-3 days without light and with reduced temperature. Share your opinion on my experiment.

Hey everyone 😀. A lot has happened again this week 👍. Pheno 1 goes from the color more and more to red 😍, whereby Pheno 2 also slowly starts to color 😃. Flowering day 21 Today both were poured with 1.2 L each and checked for their health. The humidifier was also refilled. Flowering day 22 Today the tent was cleaned and both phenotypes checked for pests and so on. Flowering day 23 Today both were poured again, this time only 1.6 l for both together. The tent was cleaned with disinfectant 👍. Flowering day 24 Today the humidifier was refilled, the activated carbon filter changed after 9 months, and all the electronics checked :-). Flowering day 25 Today 1.5 l was poured per plant so that some train comes out and rinses out excess nutrients 👍. The box was also cleaned and the plants checked for health. Flowering day 26 In both phenotypes, the bottom mini buds were removed for the last time so that the full energy goes into the top buds 👍. The tent was cleaned and the whole room was cleaned. Flowering day 27 Like every two days, the water was also poured today, but this time only 0.7 l per plant, because two days ago it was poured with Train 😄. The lamps were adjusted to the size and placed about 5 cm high. All in all, it was a perfect week, everything is going as it should and the plants are feeling very good 👍. 6/13/2023 Week 10- Day 1 of Flower (Day 131 overall) (Day 70 of Flower) Auto Pilot Day 6.. Checked the Trichomes and the bud density and both are looking good.. Definitely needs a little more time for the Trichomes to be where I like, so based on my check I think we are still looking right around the end of the competition 22June to be done and ready for harvest. I do like that the fade is coming in the leaves nicely, so my chart I think is dropping off the Nitrogen exactly like it is supposed to. 6/14/2023 Week 10- Day 2 of Flower (Day 132 overall) Auto Pilot Day 7.. Decided I would take some contrasting pics today with my light up to 100 and my light all the way on Dim. I hope you enjoy the pics. 6/15/2023 Week 10- Day 3 of Flower (Day 133 overall) Auto Pilot Day 8.. Decided to take a look at the Trichome's today and Check to see where they are at and honestly if I might ho ahead and start my flush tomorrow and harvest on Sunday. 6/16/2023 Week 10- Day 4 of Flower (Day 134 overall) (Day 74 of Flower) Today I pulled an Armageddon however instead of darkness they are going to get 48 hours of light. The reason why they are going to get light instead of dark is when I was taking out the netting a lot of the buds were so heavy they fell over and exposed some areas I really want to get some light to... so 48 hours of light at 40% while I watch what should be a beautiful final fade as the plant eats up the last Nutes. If anything goes wrong I can abort take the photos and cut so will pay really close attention to how it is looking over the next 48 hours. Added 30 Gallons of PH only Water. Reduced Lighting to 40% removed program time off. 48 hours of light. 6/17/2023 Week 10- Day 5 of Flower (Day 135 overall) (Day 75 of Flower) I had someone tell me that a few growers had done as I did and Gone Armageddon on the plants. Filling it with PH only and said the plants did not respond well and they were taken out of the comp at the very end because they felt like the pictures just wouldn't come out right. Even though I did go Armageddon, The PPM is at 353PPM with the residue of what was left in the buckets after draining as well as what I am getting from the TAP so I think they are doing good but I am checking them every few hours to see how they seem to be doing and I think they are doing good still and are on track. I also started prepping the area for the pics tomorrow T-24 Hours until Chop 6/18/2023 Week 10- Day 6 of Flower (Day 136 overall) (Day 76 of Flower) (Harvest Day) What a day.. what a day.. what a day.. as I was setting up and trying to figure out how I was going to get my pics #3 stems started breaking, it fell over and other stems broke.. So no really stunning competition photo for her, she had such a nice purple fade.. #2 stayed up in the Tent so that is the one I had to go with to submit for the contest. I wet trimmed them as they went into the tent and they took up three rows hanging in tent. I also decided I wanted to try some so I put a little in the freeze dryer for a 48 hour smoke test.. I will weigh it and add that to my total weight for the plants when it is all done.

Day 22 - 8/5 - I'm liking Plagron, I'm just going to stop checking ppms in or out from now on, just 5.8 ph for now. - 5.5" tall today! - So easy, just making a gallon every other day with the grow, some silica (if i want...no pressure here), and some cal mag...not in that order of course LOL. Loving this easy mix! Day 23 - 8/6 - No feed today, still on every 2 days - Lana got another tip of a leaf! OOPS AGAIN! - I went ahead and cut off the first 2 fan leaves and nodes. Day 24 - 8/7 - Gave her Gal of easy mixing today - 6" tall!!! Day 25 - 8/8 - 6.5" - No changes and No water today Day 26 - 8/9 - Noticed some cal mag deficiency, will adjust - Increased her cal mag to 3.5ml per gal (I had her on only 2ml/gal) - Lana has struck again! Bit off half of another leaf. Poor plant! Day 27 - 8/10 - 7" tall - No water Day 28 - 8/11 - Still 7" tall - 5.8ph still - She's starting to look a bit hungry too, will start to increase feed to full strength of the plagron next watering or two. **She's moving right along...no thanks to pretty girl Lana LOL. She loves to just sun bathe in the tent. She gives me a look and I can't say no to that little face!!! Who could?! I'm thinking about flipping her soon. There's this little voice in my head that keeps saying over and over "you should flip soon, you should flip soon" (cough, cough...spouse). We shall see though!

Creo que lo fundamental en esta semana es arta humedad y riego foliar por encima, pero en las raíces tratar de no llenar de agua ya que a esta temprana edad la plántula no tiene tanta raíces formadas, lo que provoca que se estanquen, quedando enanas y mostrando carencias por no poder beber.
