Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. This is my second cultivation ever and it will be fun to try a bigger space than my closet grow. First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. I put some pictures on the construction here in week one. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable theme in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. Well here we are at the beginning of week 8. Super windy today but I got my new rain tarp up. June 25th gave all the plants pretty good snip except for Cinderella number 2 which is still slow but coming along tomorrow I may top all the other little branches not quite sure yet. just fucked up my pH metre by hitting the calibration button by accident and now I have no solution to recalibrate it so I'm going to have to wait and kind of wing it until the new one gets here in a couple of weeks but my pH in my house water is around 7- 7.5 12 ml of vinegar in 12 qts should be the ticket. Friday June 26th well I found a way to use clothes pins to use them as wait to hold the branches down I kind of like it tell me what you think. well looks like everything is coming along okay I keep the newts down I rather have them a little too lower than too high. well this is the last day of week 8 in July 1st and everything seemed to be going along fine but it looks like my Cinderella 99 run into a bit of a deficiency on the nitrogen and somebody let me know if this is right or not and if there's somebody in Toronto who can test the tap water for pH levels and let me know my pH metre is broken right now

What up fam, weekly update on these ladies. So far they've dealt with the heat like champs. Thankfully I got my AC fixed and it's back up and running. So thank God as we're having a heat wave still with day temps in the high 90's. They're getting fed 16oz of fed daily. It's looking like maybe another week or two before they'll get harvested. All in all Happy Growing.

Week 22 Since I've removed the last Biotab the leaves have slowly start to turn more and more yellow. The buds are in the final stage of hardening out as you can see on the photos. In the beginnings of my grow adventures I was always focused on the percentage of orange to white pistils to determine their ripeness now I'm looking for that greyish look as if they suddenly turned into solid fruits that differentiate from the rest of the branch. For the last days I could mostly put my light on 100% strength. And even the difference in bud density between now (day 152) and yesterday is quite amazing.

I got the 3 starting seeds from an exchange with a redditor who accidentally pollinated his batch with a male, meaning I didn't start with the best genetic which in the end, probably induced the hermie. It turned out good overall but it did fuck up a lot of things. I never thought 4 weeks of veg would be too much. They got tall in no time and almost tripled in height during the flowering stretch. Light burn had a significant impact on the trichome production of certain buds. The mold is on me. I should have controlled the conditions better. I had to throw away 10-15g because of it. And really nothing guarantees I removed it all. Plant B produced, in the books, a lot less than her sisters and that can be explained by 3 factors: -Mold attacked it more than the others; -I probably switched 1 or maybe 5 (who knows...) whole branches when they fell from the rope during the drying; -I left a lot of tiny popcorn buds that got separated in the ''to be extracted'' jar. The 3 plants were pretty similar in looks but gave rather different seeds. A, the hermie, gave a lot of seeds in general but almost half of them were immature or wonky and got discarded; B, a female, gave a lot of good ones but also quite a few bad ones. The have nice stripes giving them a tiger look; C, another female, still hasn't been plucked of all it's seeds but the ones I already collected are really big, round and mat. Plant A pollinated itself. Plant B got helped by me but C didn't received help from me nor the wind and still got hit, a lot less, but still. I'll never underestimate the propagation power of pollen again. FINAL HARVEST: PLANT A: - 91g - 281 viable seeds PLANT B: - 28g - 297 viable seeds PLANT C: - 89g - 149 viable seeds 167 mixed seeds from ABC EXTRACT MATERIAL: - 9g TOTAL: 217g / 894 seeds Height by weeks: 1 - 7 cm 2 - 20 cm 3 - 32 cm 4 - 49 cm Switch 5 - 81 cm 6 - 107 cm 7 - 120 cm 8 - 124 cm 9 - 125 cm 10 - 126 cm 11 - 126 cm 12 - 128 cm 13 - 128 cm Nice experience overall. A lot of thing could have gone better but the fact is I got a bunch of seeds for future pheno hunting and God knows I'll need to do some to straighten the genetic. See you all then!

5/11 - Started the "flush" this week! Making it as easy as possible on myself and just using straight tap water to fill the res', and guess what?! I installed the new AC Infinity 6" in-line fan, and it's finally allowing me to keep the tent closed while maintaining an optimal environment. Smell begone!...until I open the tent, that is. The tester nug I clipped from the other week is losing the hay smell, and looking like the frostiest bud I've ever seen. Everything is looking like a 5/16 harvest! Do I seem excited?! I am!! I'll add some pics later today when the lighting is better. Funny how I now have the optimal setup with only a week left to go. Excited to utilize it for the next round though! 5/16 - Y'ALL!!....Y'ALL!!!!!! Attention, please! I have a very important announcement. It is time for Helen to go on to the next life. To commemorate this historic and paramount moment, I am uploading my first video and some amazing (iPhone) pictures (if I do say so myself). As a first-time grower, but loooooonng time cannabis enthusiast/consumer, I still cannot believe I grew this amazing plant. In fact, I am now writing this entry after having vaped part of the tester bud, and let me tell you, I almost cried tears of happiness after the high sank in -- it's phenomenal. The taste has a hint of lemon, lime, earthiness, dominant pine, with a menthol exhale. The effect is very cerebral (as expected for an early harvest), but relaxing. I feel a wave of calmness flow down my body and a nice pressure around my eyes and sinus (which is usually stuffed). I hope she doesn't mind me sharing, but I thought it was touching (and humorous) that my gf legitimately started crying when I told her it was Helen's time. Week 4, she is sitting under HPS for a few days till the new LED is ready for her. So far everything goes well, did another big jump in growth, starts taking a lot of water in a few days, always a good sign. Conditions are similar to before, slowly transitioning into flower, hopefully with a good bit of stretch soon. Increased the feeding a bit again, trying to see how she reacts to it, autos in hydro are always a bit of an experiment but with time you find your formula.

This week has been a tough week as my son got into a bad accident so I wasn’t able to be home with the plants. I was away in the hospital for five days. I must say the one time I wasn’t home the system failed me by not draining after one of the feeding. In which caused my plants to get a little bit of a deficiency and bite burn as well. So I was very disappointed in that. Other then that they kept growing at light speed and the topped one is like oooooo watch me watch me and just showing off lol 😆! I don’t have many pictures from my phone only from my camera in the tent. So not the best quality but it’s something right?
