This week I inoculated the room leaves and plants with Neoseiulus cucumeris, I have had minor thrip problems all summer, Usually I use lady bugs to combat them but none have been available this year. I inoculated the plants by shaking the bottle full of Cucumeris and bran over the leaves. I will do this a few times before pre flowers show. Cucmeris are predatory mites that eat the thrip larvae. And are supposed to work for spider mites as well. I added the scrog nets to the room and began training the plants through them. I then flipped the lights over to 12 and Initiated pre flower. All vegetative growth was very vigorous. The goal of this grow is to do a preliminary test to begin to determine if Mycelium provides any additional benefits to Cannabis when allowed to colonize in super soil before being added to bottom layer of the pot. The Process: 1) 8 weeks Prior to Germination Super Soil is mixed (see super Sub cools super soil recipe further down the page) and added to spinning two part composter, water is added and the super soil mix is allowed to break down for a week. 2) 7 weeks Prior To germination 1L of colonized mycelium is added to each side of composter. Mycelium is now allowed to colonize the super soil. 3) After 8 weeks total the Mycelium has had enough time to colonize throughout the super soil mix and is ready to be added to the bottom 1/3rd of the pots. Another late week, but... so like I said I add the 300w led (150w)to the room and I think the girl is loving it. I had to raise the HPS up due to the heat, so the HPS is at 17” from the top of the canopy and the LED at 12”. The colour in the room is unbelievable. I can’t wait to see how this GG turns out.

This week brought some challenges—I discovered thrips on the leaves of my plant. Thankfully, the infestation isn’t too severe yet, and I acted quickly to address the issue: 1. Sprayed the plant with plain water to knock off any pests. 2. Removed the top layer of soil. 3. Applied BioBizz Leaf Coat as a protective measure. I really hope this will help. After reading up on these nasty pests, I learned that they can completely devastate the leaves if left unchecked. Unfortunately, I have only myself to blame for their appearance. Due to the cold weather, I’ve been using a heater in the room with my growbox, which has caused the humidity to drop significantly. It sometimes dips as low as 30%, and it rarely goes above 50%. Most of the time, the humidity hovers around 35-40%, which is an ideal breeding ground for thrips. To answer the obvious question—yes, I do have a humidifier. However, my growbox has a very powerful exhaust fan (315 m³/h for an 80x80 space), so the air is refreshed too quickly for the humidifier to make a lasting difference. Aside from fighting thrips, I also made some adjustments to my grow this week. On Day 20, I did a little LST. Honestly, I wasn’t planning on using any training techniques in this grow, but I decided to give it a try anyway. One thing I can say for sure—I want to skip LST in my next grow. It’s quite inconvenient to water the plant when the leaves are practically touching the soil. Additionally, I defoliated the first two sets of leaves. I felt this was necessary to improve airflow around the plant and reduce the risk of pests spreading further. Watering: Day 17: 400 ml Day 20: 500 ml I’m keeping a close eye on the plant and hope to overcome these challenges successfully.

All doing perfect not alot to say, defoliated on 18/1/21 and tied a few branches where I could to make a little more room. Maybe 3weeks then ripen +flush Daily updates

Wish the bird the leaf ratio was a little better which it wasn’t too bad but other than that I don’t have any complaints and Would recommend it

Was facing some difficulty when it came to lighting (what brand, wattage, output range, full spectrum etc.) Did a watering today with a mix of Epsom salt & purified water which was the 1st nutrient mixture since my ladies been in the soil. A couple of changes made since I've joined GD is I changed the distance of lights to plant (was @ 14-18 now 20-24 inches away thanks for that folks) lighting schedule is still on a 18/6hr. Another trick I choose was the water used...it's either rain water or artesian water both help eliminate unwanted pH unbalance. This is my 1st grow and Im going to post more photos of the entire setup. If you guys&gala have any other helpful tips for a better grow lmk. I also wanted to do a LST on my autos but not quite sure when to do, they're currently coming out of week 2 into week 3 vegg mode. Every tip and hint helps so let em fly.

Temperature of day 26ºC and humidity 45%, at night 19ºC 45% humidity 👌and music that is not lacking🙌😎😜

not much happened this week. there was a lot of sunshine. a few stormy days and some rain. she is still doing well and is growing steadily and the flowers are getting thicker. she is now also getting biobizz top-max

Away 9 days. Showed some deficiency mostly on plant 2. Light defoliation on plant 1. More aggressive defoliation of affected leaves and some bud site stripping on Plant 2. Cleaned up the bottom branches of plant 2. Started bloom nutes day 45 half dose

2 of 3. 3rd one cracked in same paper cloth for testing but was a dud. 1 jack knifed like a long trailer truck so i had to dig it up and bend it twice in one day lol. 1 looking nice n hairy. Hope to get a more sativa fast growing structure than zkittzy mutant. *update* making this 1/3 canceled the craplato due slow growth.
