Firstly, the video of the popcorn bud from the mother plant, is showing what’s known as xylem sap from a process known as guttation. I never new that until this. Additionally, I am sorry to have missed out on so much documentation. I can talk forever about my plants so this will be short and to the point. Fast vigorous growth. Very resilient and hardy strain able to shrug of cold damp conditions, and freezing nights down to 32 Fahrenheit. The immune system seemed to be very strong. Never did I find any pathogens or even pests! A few but those little ghost spiders really helped out. During harvest, a thorough inspection resulting in surprisingly clean product! Finishing with large “airy” buds with fat bracts covered in trichomes. A rich musky cheese smell that surprisingly tastes of berries! I suppose I’m getting ahead of myself. But I was able to finish cure and smoke test the mom before harvesting the clone. Finally: this fast 50-60 day pheno will continue popping new bracts up to 90 days!!!! Or at least the mother in the tent did. Also, the dry weight is an approximation as I’m not finished with trim.

This Week i let them just continue to grow out of the LST. Last Day of the Week i cut down all the lower branches and defuliated the leaves. First Week of Flower and the Plant shows some nice female Flower-pistols. This Week i started with the Flower Feeding, i gave her about 4 tsp Seabird Guano as Topdress Feeding, it got a NPK of 7-4-5 so not idial for Flower but i guess Perfect for Streching-phase. Please Let me Know if you do Lollipop your Autoflowers ?? i was pretty unsure if i should do it but i was afraid that if i didn't do it it would cause problems cause of the ventilation. RSV11 was starting to get a little pale and lighter colored this week. I did a solution change today. She is starting to bulk. Colas are collecting some resin around the sites. Everything is looking okay at the moment. How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. It has been our experience that outdoor (or sun grown, as it's recently being referred to) cultivars seem to perform extremely well under artificial conditions. This is true of seed starts or clones made from seed starts. The opposite is not always true; indoor clones often give an outdoor grower headaches because they don't always make the transition smoothly. No, the mature seeds are shrouded by a rice paper thin membrane which has coloring and mottling on it, but it's so fragile that it disintegrates in the process of shucking. Stripped of the outer layer the seeds are very pale, nearly white. It came as no surprise that this plant would have abnormal seeds. Q. Is it a GMO? A. Wow...? Well, it's seriously "modified" and the modifications are definitely genetic, and it is an organism. (Genuinely Modified Organically!) Uh, no. Q. Is it a big producer? A. Freakshow will produce nice, fat, dense colas (see gallery) with remarkable trichome coverage, and you can expect yields according to your veg. time, root space, and general knowledge and expertise as a gardener. The same set of variables apply to expected outcomes regarding cannabinoid levels and terpene profiles. Q.What is the lineage? A. (Bigbud x Skunk#1) x (Big Sur Holy Weed x Banana Kush). NLD("Sativa") dominant, but the afghanica influence is apparent. I'm pretty sure that Freakshow contains some Trainwreck and some Maui Wowie based on some research I did on the origins of the Pineapple Express. Interestingly Big Sur Holyweed, OG Kush, Banana, Trainwreck, and Maui Wowie are all of unclear origins. We have to remember that these are all just names and that they don't really mean much. The exact heritage of any cultivar today is impossible to determine accurately. Also, considering the amount of continuous shameless hybridization that has occurred in the last 40 yrs., any modern kind could easily contain over 40 kinds. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. Appetite suppression is a side effect, but the enjoyment of food is enhanced. I personally will attest to all of the above. We all have different receptor profiles, so these are just generalizations. Couch unlock. Q. Is it pest and mildew resistant? A. Indeed it is. On many occasions in the last few years, it has been observed that when pest and mildew issues were affecting other plants adjacent to in the vicinity of Freakshow plants, for unknown reasons the freaks remained entirely unaffected. This includes 0botritis, PM, various mites and insects, soil fungus, etc. We haven't heard any complaints along those lines so far, so if anyone has any problems, especially with a rigorous IPM regimen in place, we would like to hear about it. And if anyone can attest to the extreme level of resistance it seems to have we'd love to hear about that as well. Q. Does it contain web-leaf genetics? A. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. So she’s looking good fattening up and looking very healthy! Flowers are forming nicely and are looking beautiful.

We are starting quite well, it is beginning to show its first signs of flowering, we expect a flowering of approximately 6 weeks that could extend to 8 weeks depending on the fattening let them have the buds

Start of week 8 and the plants are crowning all over the place, except for the sativa dominate pheno. All plants will get water only for week 8 and 9 , looks like they will be ready for harvest at 9 1/2 weeks. Pheno number 2 looks to be the only one fastest to mature. So far the gavita pro 1700e is out performing 1000 watt hps hands down had to plug in the hps on days when outdoor temps is in the mid 80 degree just to get grow room temps to hit 83 to 84 degrees so co2 gets used more efficiently. Looks like the gravitas will crush it in dry weight too.

Eccoci qui... Che splendore questa genetica, NON SEBRA MARIJUANA!!! - Strain 1: Ha una conformazione più simile alle normali piante ma ha le prendi sole e tutte le foglie della pianta con le mini foglie che si sovrappongono e sta iniziando a formare le cime come GIOIELLI davvero mi piace molto, tralasciando il fatto che è PIENA di RESINA!!!!! - Strain 2: Lei ha una conformazione molto strana purtroppo avendo avanti a lei nel box la Alladdin Kush ha allargato il ramo a destra allungando e modificando la forma che aveva, lei è molto imboscabile ovunque inquanto NON sembra marijuana. Nella fioritura è più indietro rispetto Strain 1 ma non importa la resa essendo così particolare vince in partenza!!!! Beginning of the 10th week of flower. Shouldn’t be too much longer now. I will add some bud and trich pictures this week.

Here’s my flowering cycle I was going off the color of the hairs when figuring they were finish.

Everything is still alive thankfully and smells fuckin tremendous. The pictures were taken on day 49 or 50. I'll probly start flushing some of them over the next week the citradellic are lookin close. They kinda all look close even tho I expected some 70 dayers with the mostly sativa crosses but I gotta get in there and check the trichs. Somehow I didn't get full plant pics of the first one but I'll get some next feed. Alot of shots without the flash I didnt take all the pics.

Day 22: Honestly didn't think I would have made it this far. The girls are looking great minus a couple of issues. I have over watered them and over fed too! Not to mention trying to LST too early. I will wait a bit longer before watering this time. Day 23: MORNING - They were super dry. I have been over watering a bit so I watered maybe 1/2 gallon for all 6. I also did some more LST and took 1 large fan leaf off of each plant. I will update again before lights out. Day 23: NIGHT - The girls are responding very well to the LST. I don't think they are liking the 80°. I am starting to have issues with lower humidity again. I need to try and figure some sort of ducting out or possibly even get a small AC unit for the grow room. Day 24: MORNING - I removed a couple more leaves that were covering potential bud sites. I have also done a partial main-line on the smallest girl. It looks to be already showing pistols. I've had to open the tent with a big fan blowing directly in with the humidifier behind it. The girls were getting hot and dry. Day 24: NIGHT - Well 5 are showing to be female. The biggest plant is showing no signs of sex. I am guessing it will be the mystery seed. I will be doing no more LST to these ladies for at least a week or better. I think I have stressed them out enough the past 2 days. Day 25: These girls are very resilient!! I tortured them all weekend and the one I nopped off to do a sort of mainline grew by 20% at least. Day 26: It is the official 3 week mark today and the girls are starting to flower. I tied em down to get light to all bud sights. I will 100% not touch them unless they need it from this point!!!! They are soo small and I need not stunt them any more!! I have removed the Mystery Seed as it looks to be a male and I do not want to take the chance!! Also fed and watered today. Only 200 ppm for the feed. Day 27: Nothing new to report. These girls are gonna be tiny :| I must've stressed em too much too soon :( Looking good though I think! 💪 Day 28: I never do what I say. Dumb! Broke main stem on one of the best plants. Taking it as a lessons learned. It's been two hours and she looks SICK! Oh well.

For me this grow was a complete failure. The amount of buds I threw away was amazing.😭 The buds are very airy, not dense at all. Looking at the trichome sites they are spread quite far apart. Not much THC on this plant at all. If nothing else I've learned to use 24H light on only trusted genetics. I will give this away (if they even want it 😂) to a few mates.

Amazing experience with the Mix Pack, I will try it again next summer for sure. Love the variety.

This weeks video is not to trick anyone or deceive anyone. These plants are tough and if you start them young at higher EC values they will adapt. Never feed them to the point of harm…if you start to see burnt tips on the leaves then back off the EC. I hope all my videos helped someone along this journey. WEEK 7 TIME TO FLUSH FOR 2 WEEKS NUTRIENTS USED THIS WEEK PH’D WATER 5.8 It’s the end of week 7 and all is well. I will defoliate slowly over the next 2 weeks. All the major fan leaves will come off and any sugar leaves will be left in tact. Temps will be lowered, especially nighttime temperatures. Shooting for 66 degrees and 40% humidity at night. Daytime VPD will stay consistent at 1.4. CO2 will stop sometime this week. Really I am just looking to harden the colas not grow them any further. This weeks video is about EC “stacking”. I think it’s a good one and blows some people’s misconceptions about EC build up in the substrate. Just like you can train your plants with trellis netting, so can you train them with high EC. YOUR ENVIRONMENT MUST BE RIGHT BEFORE TRYING THIS. High CO2 levels and warm temps are a must for this to work and maintain rapid growth. Good luck guys and see you next week!

After the trichomes have been checked (70% milky 30% amber) as always, it was left in complete darkness for 48 hours before it was neatly trimmed by hand. After trimming, she was put back in the drying tent on nets. There they are allowed to dry for the next 8-12 days at 62% humidity before they are put into the jar to ferment with 62% boveda packs. After about 4-6 weeks in the jar I will swap the 62% boveda pack for a 58% boveda pack where it can be ready for another 4-6 weeks to enjoy :-). As always, the remains of the leaves are used to make Ice o Lator and oil. Of course, as always, there is a final update during the fermentation process. Today is official the last day of veg. Turned the light onto 24 hours because I've been running it during the day but now that I've moved it out to my shed that I set up as my new grow space, I want to run it at night when it's colder out. The plant had a great week of growth as you can tell from the pictures. Plant kicked it into overdrive for its last week and really started to fill up the tent. Unfortunately I didn't think to keep room at the base for watching and now I only have 2 spots I can really water from unless I use a 1/4 cup measuring cup and that'll take forever lol. I'm hoping to have her cropped by Nov.1 to Nov.5 so that I can start using this tent and set up for mother plants. I'll be using a different light then but that's for the next diary.
